I've listened to a couple of interviews with Danny.
They sum up to him finding his last participation to be a lot of fun and knowing since then that he would come back again at some point. However, it was the energy of Friends Arena this year that made him decide to make a comeback in 2024. This entry is a notable departure for Danny, as it marks the very first time he has chosen forgo his self-written material. He's reclaiming his old sound through collaborating with Michel Zitron. 'Happy That You Found Me' is more in the ballpark of 'If Only You' than his previous Mello entries, but still feels 2024. This time, he also desires to be more grounded and genuine on stage, and to 'not hide behind dancers'.

There's been a slight scandal in Sweden involving Fröken Snusk.
2023 was an incredibly successful year for her and her duet partner Rasmus Gozzi. The latter also writes and produces all her songs and manages most of her concert bookings and media engagements.
They've released more than 53 songs together in the last year alone and both entered the Top 10 most played artists of Spotify Sweden.

Spotify used for money laundering
Criminals reportedly use proceeds from illicit activities to obtain cryptocurrency, mainly bitcoin, and then funnel these funds to skilled money launderers. One tactic involves manipulating fake Spotify accounts to boost listening numbers for a specific artist. This emerging strategy, popularized within Swedish organized crime circles, serves as an easy method for gangs to launder significant sums of money.
- "I don't want to expose individuals; this matter is highly sensitive. It goes beyond merely purchasing streams. If you're a network aiming to attract kids, having a rapper become big does half the job for you. It's heavy good for recruitment purposes," notes a source to Sweden's third largest newspaper.
FRÖKEN SNUSK, yet to declare any official gang affiliation, has been spotted recruiting youngsters in the streets.
In Sweden, gangsta rap holds significant influence with famous artists helping the gangs form a brand identity. Even within the 2023 Top 10 list above there's three gang affiliated rappers - Einar, Yasin, and 23.
- "You don't do this if you want to launder a hundred grand, because then you lose too much along the way. But if you want to launder a few rabbits (millions), then it's obviously good," says the gang member.
The recent EPA-dunk trend presents untapped opportunities for organizations to launder higher volumes, and FRÖKEN SNUSK is well-positioned within the market. According to kworb.net, FRÖKEN SNUSK had 52 of her singles chart in Spotify Sweden Top 200 during her breakout year and is currently streamed about 600,000 times per day.

The advantages are twofold: Spotify pays genuine compensation for the streams, and the artist ascends the charts, potentially achieving mainstream success. In essence, major gangs support musicians on their roster to boost visibility while utilizing rival-affiliated artists for target practice.

I think they pay for bot accounts to constantly stream a particular artist, who is then paid royalty revenues from those streams from Spotify. Seems like a weird thing to do though, you would lose a lot of money in the process.

You own the copyrights to a song. You can then buy bitcoin with dirty money and Spotify Premium bot accounts with bitcoin.
75% of Spotify's revenue is payed out to copyright holders. If an artist charts they will also get a news buzz around them, have a higher chance of being added to playlists and queued by Spotify's AI algorithm.
If the tunes and artists are top-shelf to begin with, this will turn into a steady stream of clean, laundered income.
Affiliation has the added benefit of generating hype around your own gang, making it easier to expand your network and recruit affordable couriers.

"The company has, for several years, invested capital to build up the organic ranking on multiple music platforms, which has now reached a sufficiently high level to sustain itself without further significant ongoing investments."
Should MISS FILTH face disqualification, and there's a genuine risk, SVT would need to find a replacement to sing 'Unga & fria' (Young & free). I'm curious if songwriter SaRaha would be willing to step in.

Rasmus Gozzi and Miss Filth remain defiant in their first joint statement after being removed from Spotify. Earlier this week, they attempted to re-release their biggest hit by dropping a cover of themselves under the pseudonyms Blondini and Gasmus Rozzi.
Spotify promptly shut it down. Now, they're announcing that they will release 490 songs on Spotify on the 4th of February. It's not clear how many of these will be new releases.

The Swedish music distributor Amuse is ending its collaboration with Fröken Snusk, citing suspicions of manipulated streams. Amuse "collaborate closely with streaming services and always take down releases upon their request." There are no plans to make the songs available through Amuse again.

Miss Filth's streaming scandal has blown up in Sweden and people have started calling her "Miss Cheat" on social media.
Sources from Swedish media indicate that the initial suspicions of manipulated streams arose on December 11th when streams for 'Gynekologen' quadrupled overnight, thereby securing her third number 1 spot on the daily chart. The following day, streaming numbers returned to normal levels for two weeks, only to quadruple again for 24 hours, temporarily propelling it to the number 2 position. According to the industry organization IFPI, these changes cannot be explained by normal consumption patterns.
