To be fair, he’s an UNKNOWN as well- there’s no guarantee he’s going to stand in that seat again, is there? He could be parachuted into a safe seat or he could quit by then…

Can't wait to read (the cliffs notes of) Rishi's book next year when he explains to everyone why he wasted the last year of his premiership on the Rwanda bill.

I'm sure there must be a GOOD REASON in there somewhere, he just needs time to explain it to us all!

It may well depend on Farage. If he decides to back Reform and campaign with them, the Tories are well and truly fucked.

I can't find it now, but YouGov released a detailed analysis of that massive poll the other day, and it showed the % of people who intended to vote reform potentially switching back to Conservative sat around 30%.

Even if Reform did step aside, they've got a massive battle on their hands. There's no historical precedent for an incumbent government being this behind in the polls this close to an election and being reelected(that mean it can't happen of course).

the full clip doesn’t much help him out though. He doesn’t actually listen to the lady, or engage with what she’s saying - just reels off his little sound bites in the most condescending voice possible.

To think we’re going to have a full six weeks of this shit later in the year fills my bones with dread.
 
I find it wild how nobody is (apparently) telling him how fucking patronising he comes across. He seems completely oblivious to the fact that, at some point, he's going to need people to actually vote for him.

I'm sure Kay Burley is DREADFUL, but I do love it the sheer GLEE she doesn't even try to conceal when she knows she's got someone in a bind.
 
I genuinely couldn’t make it to the end of that. I started to feel sorry for her until I realised she holds a position of office in the UK and it’s her own stupid fault if she can’t do something as simple as come prepared for an interview on something you’re supposed to be responsible for.
