I was keeping an eye on my Space Weather app and went out about midnight. Mr F was insistent that something looking like a long wispy cloud was aurora and I kept saying it wasn't, until I took a picture to prove it was just cloud. It wasn't. So I ran inside, put my glasses on and set up my meteor app on the iPad to record it but by the time I got outside two minutes later it was gone and all the camera was picking up was light pollution from the flats opposite and the streetlight. I was too tired to stay outside and wait for it to start again.
