cast is being announced for the third Knives Out (next year on Netflix) and we currently have: Daniel Craig, Andrew Scott, Josh O'Connor, Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), Jerry Washington and... Glenn Close :disco:

give the casting director a raise. I thought the second was a bit of a flub overall, but still excited for this.
 
I liked both. But I can see a franchise like this getting tired quickly.
 
I loved both. And if we're only getting one every two or three years, I don't think I'll tire of it, unless they turn shite.

There are certainly enough other franchises which churn out worse bilge.
 
there really hasn't been an exciting new original franchise not adapted from something for... how long now? I can't think of another in the last decade. so I'm all for it.
 
I can't remember liking one more than another. They were both silly campy fun and I'll be more than happy to see it continue for generations.
 
Yeah I prefer the second but both are very good. So echoing the above, if it’s every 2 or 3 years then bring it on.

Anyone still checking for these movies? I didn't mind the Glass Onion, although I'd struggle to remember a single thing about it.

I think this will be quite good. critics' reviews are very strong with many calling it the best of the three
 
Thought this was great but I don’t think I’ll ever dislike this series!

Just loads of fun with a great cast!
 
I liked this but felt it could have been a bit more FUN. It's a big murder mystery, let's have a bit more camp across the ensemble please?

I lost patience with it a fair few times in the middle, but the end I found satisfying enough to bring me back round. It's not as good as the first film, but a fine enough sequel. I quite liked that it was a bit more back-to-basics than the high glam second one.

Josh O'Connor is great and I really fancy him. Glenn Close is the other cast highlight. Benoit Blanc remains a bit half cooked as a character but I enjoy him enough.

I did wonder if they'd pulled back on some of the politics stuff, particularly around the Josh Brolin priest, for fear of riling Trump's America.

It took about 15 minutes for me to get past the fact that it was full of British/Irish actors pretending to be American, in QUITE OBVIOUSLY ENGLISH LOCATIONS that they were pretending to be America.

Total hokum but fun enough for a couple of hours. The cast was strong across the board but O’Connor I thought was great. Really showed off his range considering the material. As has been said, it’s just a likeable franchise now that I don’t think, at this point at least, I could hate.
 
I liked it more than the other two (though I fell asleep during the second and the last one was overshadowed by CATS a day later).

Josh O'Connor's little neck tattoo poking out of his priest collar was doing something for me.
 
Wonderfully camp, loved Glenn Close and Josh O'Connor is a fine (and dishy) actor. Probably the third best of the three but still enjoyed
 
It felt like it took an age to get going and the pace never really picked up but I managed to watch it all in two sittings. Still good but not great.
 
Almost certainly the best of the three. Everything was pretty spot on, except for very minor things.

The first half is definitely a little slow, but once the plot thickens it becomes very forgivable.
Mila Kunis was indeed rubbish but that's because she's a rubbish actress. Thankfully, her character was fine being one-note.

Josh O'Connor is truly the jewel in the crown. He gives his character such a beautiful vulnerability.

The ending was especially better than that of the first two films.
 
A jolly good romp, but needed to lean harder into camp. And I agree that Mila Kunis seemed to be in another film entirely.
 
I watched all three (saw the third one first) this past week. This one was my least favorite, didn’t love the cast. Agreed re Mila Kunis being annoying, and thought the whole thing was a bit too serious and slow. The first one was by far my favorite.

She was the only actor in the cast that sounded like she was from New York though.

This was my least favourite of the 3 - I thought the first 30 minutes in particular were really slow, but it did pick up a bit and it was a good enough plot in the end to make me feel happy with it.
