feels a bit overly self indulgent to me, but I do like the third act where it goes all jazzy - top of NMF UK today, but I don't see it doing much

(some of her lyricism is terribly literal - use a metaphor every now and then love)

Meh

I really can't get on board with this Raye girl.

She just comes off as really not genuine at all for me personally.

The middle part of this Genesis project with its dramatic slant was somewhat interesting. The rest, very very meh.

^ I saw her on that Steph’s brunch show or whatever it is while she was in the midsts of label struggles and she came across as the complete opposite to me. Admittedly I think that’s the only time I’ve seen her interviewed.

I mean I appreciate the ambition but do feel this would be better as a live show finale rather than something she'd actually put out on streaming services.

I do like the fact she has stepped into her artistry though and is moving away from by-numbers dance tracks. Her album is pretty solid.

But yeah... this doesn't interest me much at all.

Oh, to be honest, I only saw her acceptance speeches at the Brits and another thingy on YouTube where she was explaining how she wrote some song of hers (which I thoroughly hated) and now this, to create whatever impression I have of her.
I might be wrong.
I mean, I don't really like Adele either and her persona/personality, while other people love her for it. So, I might be the problem here :D

I find her very try hard as an R&B artist but actually find her very authentic and endearing as a jazz artist, it’s MOST strange.

I wouldn’t say she’s the greatest songwriter but she’s very talented at writing songs that resonate with the yoof (why do I hate myself, social media is awful/amazing, fuck the establishment, I need some drugs, and repeat etc), so she deserves credit for that

I saw this was top of NMF - where is this FROM? A new ALBAM?

I do love her for doing her own thing and managing to get success and coin out of it.

Don't care for the tunes though.

Love it. Part 2, obviously. I don’t need to listen to the whole 7 minutes every time.

I am not feeling this yet.

And I really don't care for the Jools Hootenanny section.

I like her voice and really enjoy her when she’s doing the jazzy thing like the last part of this song.

The song is exhausting. She reminds me of that vocal coach who went on the X Factor, except with more suicide references and random asides about r NHS heroes.

Carrie Grant?

Oh no she was Fame Academy, wasn't she
