I still think Von Dutch is the best so far, although B2B is challenging. 360 is killing it on spotify, I think the album will do really well, her flop days are long GONE.mp3
 
I am pretty much gasping for this album. I have a terrible feeling I'm going to pay too much for it on vinyl or something equally awful.

So I is the song about SOPHIE and it's lovely but also quite sad.
 
I'll be taking a toddle to Fopp to avail myself of this today. Actually been properly looking forward to this. I was given a gift card by my old team at work and I held onto it to pay for the vinyl of this.

Sympathy slaps. loving the slightly off-kilter vibes of I might say something stupid. Talk Talk is the most Crash sounding song but given a glitchy clubby facelift.

Everything is romantic is a future 10 surely. I'd expected Rewind to be filler based on early reactions but I LOVE IT!!!! there's more than a bit of True Romance maximalism in those stabby synths. Von Dutch is one of her absolute best songs at this point.

Apple is quite the banger. drive to the airport girl! :disco: wtf is that instrumental part in mean girls? :D very kitsch. definitely the most throwaway song here but I bop.

she's a radiant mother and he's a beautiful father and now they both know these things that I don't :D I'm not sure why this one is so funny to me but it's sending me. I'm not sure I'd have placed this song here though. or if it really works anywhere.

365 is a fitting closer and will probably grow a lot. I think the first 12 songs are flawless and the last 3 fell off a bit but overall clearly her best album since True Romance if not ever? I'm glad she finally delivered a tight, no compromise body of work that leans into everything she's good at, pushes her lyricism to new places, enhances her sound... this ravey/glitchy 90s/00s club space is such a sweet spot for her. BRAT UP!
 
My friend wanted to go to one of the listening parties and I said no because I am TIRED and BROKE and now I feel terrible because he's a huge fan and she actually turned up at the one we were going to go to.

I really can't get over how 365 seems to have been designed in a lab to appeal to me. The pitched down Ah Ah ah Ahah specifically is the best thing she has ever done.

I do moan about the cost of vinyl these days. This was £32. Crash was £23. But - this comes in a die-cut gatefold sleeve with a die cut inner, a genuinely lovely, well made 12 x 12 lyric book and, amusingly, a faux 90s style computer printout with the credits. You can see why it costs more and it is a satisfying package. However, I was not giving them an extra EIGHT QUID for coloured vinyl.

I did judge it too expensive to buy but I think I will snatch a copy having seen the packaging now :D
 
360 is becoming a cute little hit for her. it repeaked at 41 on Friday but it's up to 31 on Spotify UK today and should be going top 20 this week. :disco:
