Well I just read that this is the second time she’s done a go fund me, for a missing friend, the friend was found a few days later, the thing is he’s been missing for 5 days now, how they gonna explain this, cos nobody can survive being out there with no water or food 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Hiya welcome to Moopy and thanks for the info :)

IF this turns out all to be a scam, imagine the amount of money that's been wasted on trying to find him :zombie:

So true babes

Well she's got 25k so far...

Hi everyone my name is Lucy. I have come on holiday to Tenerife to attend the NRG festival with my friend Jay & another friend. On the last day of the festival, I left alone, earlier than everyone else, because I was tired from the weekend. I woke up to a phone call off Jay at 8:30 AM saying “he was lost in the mountains, he wasn’t aware of his surroundings, he desperately needed a drink & his phone was on 1%”. He had met 2 people on Sunday night and left with them to go to their apartment. Their apartment was miles away from civilisation and in a very secluded location. He left at 8am, and walked half an hour before frantically ringing me when his phone reached 1%. This was 3 days ago now, and no one has seen or heard from him since. His last location was on an off road track, which was a 10 hour walk from his hotel. The weather conditions up there are terrible for someone in shorts & a t-shirt, both in the day & at night. He has no water for when it’s warm through out the day, and he has no coat/suitable clothing for when it’s cold at night. It was 1 degree and extremely windy when I was out looking in the middle of the night We are all so worried and we just want him home. Please help if you can and share far and wide. Thank you for reading ❤️

This all feels like one of those summer storylines that Eastenders used to do where a subset of the characters would holiday abroad. Hoping Kat and Zoe make a surprise appearance.

I'm curious as to why people are being so jokey about this. Is it because he's a bad 'un? Is there local knowledge playing in here?

I think it's a combination of him being a violent bellend and the astonishing reaction from Facebook mums. Also his friend Lucy and her Gofundme scam feed into the absolute mess of this story that can only provide eye rolling despite the likely horrible outcome for his family.

There are a lot of screenshots doing the rounds that hes fucked

Very curious as to why there is a fundraiser for this - seems like the idea is to help find him but is that not a job for the Spanish police?

Chalk me up as another who is, at best, embarrassed by the Facebook detective mob. Just because you’ve listened to a few true crime podcasts doesn’t make you an expert. If you’re passionate enough then by all means volunteer and support official search efforts led by people that know what they’re doing.

Can't decide yet if I think this is all UNBECOMING considering how young he is or natural schadenfreude considering exactly how violent he seems to have been.

For me it's both. I had to choose to avoid it earlier today.

I don’t find any of this discourse funny in the slightest to be honest. I’m not convinced any 19 year old deserves this fate despite any violent history. I thought we’d risen to be a little bit better than that here.

Well after reading this post:

He was one of the attackers in this incident:

A gang of teenagers who launched a horrific attack on another using machetes, an axe and a golf club shockingly avoided jail.

The skull of Tom Hilton, who was 17 at the time of the attack, was exposed during the shock attack, and he was also left with gaping wounds to his shoulders and legs when he was set upon at Old Paper Mill in Hermitage Street, Rishton, in August 2021.

During the trial last year, Preston Crown Court heard how Mr Hilton had gone to the popular meeting place, but was chased by a group of boys he later described as "like a pack of gorillas."

Count me out

But I do think that whatever MIRTH is taking place is, in the main, in response to the ridiculous suggestions in the Facebook groups rather than whatever may have happened to him.

I think given all signs are pointing to this being either a scam or a drug trade gone wrong... sorry no tears shed here, even before we consider his being an evil scrote.

Meanwhile if Tracy Smith from Barnsley wants to provide some Facebook comedy along the way, PLEASE PROCEED

It's similar to the Kate Middleton theories after the ridiculousness from Kensington Palace, isn't it? Well, kind of feels like that for me, anyway.

The problem is, in both cases - Jay and Kate, it's quite clear the truth has been manipulated, which clearly leads to suspicion. Obviously the outcome for Kate was pretty unpleasant and this case will likely be too.

The Nicola Bulley stuff was the worst, because nobody knew and the wrong people were blamed, for an innocent sad event. There are plenty of bad actors involved here.

I do think there's a natural British tendency to find humour in the face of bad situations, even if the outcome has a habit of stopping the humour dead. I don't necessarily like the habit of mass speculation, but it is part of human nature, which is quite hard to repress, when it happens on a large scale.

They are only £8 from the target

What happens now?

Then the labradors and motorchairs are deployed, and Christiano Ronaldo is publicly shamed.
