Following a REGRETABLE INCIDENT where my friends made me listen to the whole deluxe album start to finish and review the tracks, this was one of only two songs I somewhat enjoyed.

it's a no-brainer since it's been charting for months now and my Spotify always insists in shoehorning it into my daily mixes which is annoying. Also what a gag that it's solely the only upbeat song on the whole album

It's hard to accept Fortnight flopped, Cruel Summer is STILL being played on the radio and still pops up on some Spoti playlists but I'm old, I dunno how else can you measure a song's impact?

The thing with Taylor is she honestly doesn’t need a “hit” because she controls her own stuff ( as far as I know) and has one of the biggest tours still going on. I feel like she’s stuck in the past where it was a hit or nothing and she can’t seem to grasp that she’s not the cool young thing currently.
