Since people seemed to be enjoying it in between the drama.

This is what has come to me off the top of my head. I imagine everything but Dance In The Dark is subject to change if I were to put more thought into it.

Lady Gaga - Dance In The Dark
Carly Rae Jepsen - Run Away With Me
Charli XCX - Track 10
Kim Petras - Heart to Break
Charlotte Perrelli - The Girl

(Inner Smile has been banned from replying to this thread. I will lift it if it looks like he might behave himself once more)

Heart to Break is such a DAZZLING pop song. from those first 10-12 standalone singles, through Turn off the Lights Vol 1 and Clarity she was a fucking great popstar. ugh. what happened.

Why does Inner Smile give dotmusic energy in almost all his posts? Most of us are in our 40s now and we grew out of that shit decades ago.

No drama please.

1. Sade - No Ordinary Love
2. Delirium / Sarah McLachlan - Silence (Airscape Mix)
3. Björk - Hyperballad
4. Anohni & The Johnsons - Aeon
5. Nina Simone - Sinnerman

Totally off the top of my head, I could do a more comprehensive list but I’m content with the 5 I’ve picked. I think!

didn't you have an epic self destruct moment two or three years ago in which you totally blew up, got quite mean with everybody and flounced off to popjustice? details are hazy but this seems a little forgetful of you :eyes:

I've NEVER been on popjustice.

Besides being the brunt of a pile on is not quite the same as being over personal and over sensitive to every little thing that is said here.

The Smiths - 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out'
Portishead - 'Roads' (PNYC live version)
Madonna - 'Like A Prayer'
New Order - 'True Faith'
Joni Mitchell - 'River'

What agony. Off the top of my head:

Jane Wiedlin - Rush Hour

Patti Smith - Dancing Barefoot
Belinda Carlisle - Mad About You
Cher - Save Up All Your Tears

Jesus what a hard thing to do but here’s a quick 5

Carly Rae Jepson - Run Away With Me
Madonna - Into The Groove
Kylie - Love At First Sight
Donna Summer - On The Radio
Agnes - Release Me

I know CRJ is already on a lot of lists but it IS the ultimate pop goodness.

WHICH Kylie - LAFS?

Wait, my top 5 songs of anything EVER?

Are you SERIOUS?

This is all that will live in my head now until I figure it out. DAMN YOU MOPSY.

Maybe:

Fleetwood Mac - Silver Springs
The Cardigans - Lovefool
Kate Bush - Moments of Pleasure
Hole - Celebrity Skin
Amy Winehouse - Wake Up Alone

This is not definitive by any means. I haven't even pressed 'post reply' and I already vehemently disagree with myself.
