I have to admit I do listen to their first 3 albums on the regular, bonus tracks and all.

Happy Nation, Lucky Love, and Life Is A Flower are more important to me than oxygen. and yes I even like Travel to Romantis and Adventures In Paradise :disco:

At least you got the proper single version.

Imagine little old me who owned the album already and I never liked the album version, then the CD single got released I think Mother bought it for me only to discover there was no Single version on that CD either but only the limp acoustic mix AGAIN.

I know it's less regarded than the first two among the OG fans, but Flowers is a real all-timer of a pop album for me. Just wall to wall shiny Swedish JOY.

Flowers is wall to wall BANGERS

Travel to Romantis, Tokyo Girl and Adventures in Paradise all stand out from memory. It's been a while though.

They really were the original #wanderlust
 
FLOWERS (near bullet-proof 90s pop pinnacle and I cannot image not having it)
HAPPY NATION (US) (when this goes full pelt it's extraordinary - the The Sign single was my first ever CD and it's never lost its allure and otherlyness)
THE BRIDGE (this one lets too much air in for me, but the singles and Blooming 18 all beautifully show off their stark-pop sparks, so the peaks pull it through)
DA CAPO (off the pedestal and on a budget, but not without gems and rather consistent beyond just the highlights)
 
They really had an odd chart run in the UK.

First album had six singles, three top 10 hits, including two of the biggest of the decade. The second essentially flopped with no big hits. Two top 10 hits from album three and then never charted again.

I just can’t get my head around the relative floppage of The Bridge singles. Couldn’t then and still can’t now. Ok maybe Lucky Love wasn’t big enough of a banger but Beautiful Life should have been a UK top fiver easily
 
I can’t say that I’ve heard anything other than the big singles in the US :ken:
 
I do seem to remember Beautiful Life hanging round the top 20 for a while but it was far bigger on the continent than it was here
 
Beautiful Life has average peaks everywhere but did seem to have legs. I really don’t get how, coming off such a big album, it wasn’t a massive smash. It’s ridiculously good.
 
I remember "Beautiful Life" being huge, moreso than its top 20 peak in the US suggests.
