It went top ten here, but pretty forgotten. Rain peaked lower but had the better run, and more remembered most likely.

Yah RAIN was one of the few instances in her career where it could have gone top 10 with strong airplay but sales let it down and so it peaked at No.14 I THINK in the USA. he backlash was in full force.

Yea the USA loved her ballads post backlash. I’ll Remember, Take a Bow, TUTBMP, were all among her biggest hits here, ever, in terms of their chart runs. Rain peaked outside the top ten but I believe the longest running hit from the album. Bad Girl struggled but was obviously less radio friendly.

Impressive Instant YES.

Runaway Lover just felt like a backward step at the time amongst the squelchy goodness elsewhere. It felt like a leftover RoL demo. I agree time has been kind to it though.
