I put on 6lb over pre-Christmas and New Year. To be honest though, considering I ate a whole load of crap for over 3 weeks, and gave up all exercise other than walking (and considerably less of that, mostly due to daylight and weather), I was worried it was going to be worse than that.
I've been back on the resistance bands 3 or 4 times weekly and been eating more carefully (although certainly not 'a diet') for just over 2 weeks now, and have lost 2lb of that. I want to get back to where I was, but don't feel the need to try any harder to get there. I'm still just over a stone lighter than I was a year ago, and still fitting into a large (rather than XL) in the new clothes I've bought or had for Christmas. Although I put on that weight, I can't really see where it went.
December I averaged 12.3k steps daily. In January it increased to 15.3k, and I'm on 16.9k these few days into February.
