during and after covid I was doing my own hair, but last year I started going again to a guy who became a semi-friend (kinda sorta). I've been paying around €45 which feels to me like a lot, but he's really good. his price has gone up to over €55 and for this and other reasons I just broke up with him.

anyway - how much do YOU pay, and how often do you go?
 
About £60 for a regular cut I think and about £200 if I need a professional balayage colour. Go every 12 weeks - it’s obviously different for girls. Recent gone back to the Clairol dye at home for a while though.
 
I go every 1-2 weeks. Going bald is somehow even more maintenance than when I had hair. And my beard grows so densely that it needs constant grooming. And I pay way too much. Every time it's like $65 USD

The eurocentrism in the poll is absolutely jarring
 
I think I could probably go cheaper and go somewhere handier to where I live, but I feel too comfortable with my current boys.
 
My hair and beard is £40, which I do roughly every two months

Occasionally if I just want my hair buzzed I'll go to the Turkish place round the corner and get it done for £15, but if scissors are involved I much prefer my main place because he makes my hair look much better.
 
I’m wearing mine quite LONG at the minute and don’t really like it looking overly styled, so I just go to a cheap Turkish barber (£20) every 2 or 3 months when it gets too thick.
 
I go about once every 6 weeks although I'm currently in another "I want to grow my hair" phase so will probably leave this a bit longer.

I go to the Turkish barbers in town but I'm increasingly unhappy with the service. It used to be £35 for the works, head massage, hot towel all that shit. Now I feel it's £35 but I only get a haircut, maybe a shampoo if I'm lucky. I'm sure I could just ask for it but feel a bit weird demanding the guy HOT TOWELS me. They only ever seem to have one guy on as well so there's been a couple of occasions I've walked out because there's already two or three guys waiting. There are plenty of others around but it's the most convenient one so idk, I'll probably just end up begrudgingly sticking with them.

I bet that's not the only thing that's too thick where your Turkish barber gets going.
 
Usually go to my local barber every 4-6 weeks, although lately my hair grows so slowly it's more like 8 weeks.

I pay around £15 and get my hair cut, eyebrows shaved, head and neck rub and a nice lemony fragrance thing rubbed through my hair, plus £5 tip.
 
I need a proper shaver that I think Percy named. I do put on music, otherwise it's just unbeatable having to go over and over my head just to try and get an even finish.

I really miss going to the Turkish barbers - a stimuli treat I belatedly discovered before a gust of wind blew one too many follicles out the back and rendered going absolutely pointless.
 
I go to a queer-friendly barber and I really like them but feel like i’m being fleeced a bit. Cut is very simple and usually takes no more than 20 mins but they charge close to £40. As a result I go less frequently than i’d probably like to - but around every eight weeks or so is the best estimate.
 
I just go when it gets to a point that it's so long that it's bothering me which is usually every few months. It's usually a right old state by then but it's not like I ever have a CLOSE SHAVE to keep trim. I currently go to a place which charges £25 and only takes cash and does walk-ins and is inexplicably listed on Google maps as a Korean restaurant?!

I don't like Turkish barbers typically because they make everything so NEAT. Nature abhors a straight line, and SO DO I. I feel deeply uncomfortable at any attempts to unscruffify me.

Oh it’s really great! I used to use normal clippers with no guard but you’re there forever!

With the Skullshaver can just give it a going over while watching the TV or whatever as all the hair goes up inside so there’s no mess.

She talks too much but she does my hair perfectly so I just smile and stare off into space
 
Usually every two months for two back and sides and trim on top. Sometimes I’ll get them to trim and give my beard some shape and it usually ends up being about £25 (cash only of course). Back home I’d get the same for £19.
 
Every 2 to 3 weeks for me, depending on my schedule. I loved my lockdown hair when I went without a cut for months, but it was horrible to deal with every morning.

It’s £30 a go, so not a lot really.
 
Go every 4 weeks or so, think its about £25.
 
I can’t do with a walk up appointment or not knowing what I’m going to get. I’d rather know what I’m getting and when.
 
I get paid monthly which is the trigger for me to think about going, so usually 4-6 weeks, it’s the back and sides that drives me to go first, I don’t mind a bit of messiness on top. I might hold off a bit longer to coincide with a trip away or “big” night out coming up. Usually around £20, sometimes I’ll get the beard tidied too. I go on a weekday off as can usually time it when there’s nobody else in, I don’t like it when there’s a queue watching you get it done.
 
Every 4-6 weeks. Same Turkish barbers I've been at for a decade. £18, £30 for the full hot towel beard experience. There's nearly always a wait, sometimes 2 hours, but it's the best around as they provide such a high standard.

Same. I think I'm in my midlife crisis era, so I'm growing my hair out as I don't care about cars. It's basically my last chance, before the inevitable.
 
Men with long hair are a sign that society is teetering on the edge of complete anarchy. If God wanted men to have hair like a mop, He would have given Adam a shampoo advert campaign.

It's a gateway to chaos let me tell you. First, it's long hair, next thing you know, they’re strumming guitars, and having orgies in playgrounds.

If I see a man with hair past his collar, I'd assume he was one dodgy decision away from urinating in a church, or worse, quoting poetry.

Why can we only select up to three choices? Sometimes I go to a hairdresser, sometimes I do it myself and the option doesn't exist. So restrictive!! So @Jark !!
 
I had shoulder length hair as a youth. It's not my first ride on the long hair bus.

I just have better products now to maintain it on it's way.

It's lather rinse repeat for me (pun intended). I cut my hair, it grows a bit, I see a man who can pull it off, want that for myself, it gets scruffy, I get scared, I get it cut.

AD INFINITUM.
 
About once a month. Anything longer and I look awful. I used to pay about 30€ for years, until I got bored of my hairdresser and went for the cheap 15-ish € option which is just as good quality wise.
 
I don’t have a specific hairdresser, there are 3 different ones in my neighbourhood that I go to and I like it this way.
