Good morning folks! Today's task - assemble a CD cabinet. It's been sitting in the box for 2 years because I forgot about it. I bought two, you see. Assembled one, filled it and positioned it but couldn't decide where to put the other one. Remembered it existed last week by finding it in a cupboard.
 
Last day of summer.

This week has been JUST BEAUTIFUL. Is there anything more lovely that a warm September day?

Finally got some work today, a WHOLE FOUR HOURS WORTH. Mind you I'm invigilating 11+ all day tomorrow and then marking them all next week.
 
I know I'm feeling very bouncy atm, I've been out every day getting me some Vit D. Not drinking this month either so I'm generally feeling pretty tip top.
 
Yeah, I've been off the drink too. Just makes me feel shit in the morning now so why bother?
 
Don't get me wrong, my mate hands in her Masters dissertation next Friday and then I'm on holiday, so it all goes to shit! But a solid four weeks off, I'm happy with.
 
I did a lovely couple of stages of the Capital Ring Walk taking in Wimbledon Park - Wimbledon Common - Richmond Park - Syon Park - Grand Union Canal yesterday and it was glorious. Autumn really is the best.

Mind you, I am in Swindon, so good weather would be utterly wasted.
 
I had a 6:30 am telehealth appointment today and I didn’t go to bed until midnight and drank last night, so that was brutal

Ms Ron has just knocked out some buttermilk korean chicken, sticky rice and (packet) gyozas - insane.
 
I've made a balsamic tomato soup with those tiny bits of pasta and it was the absolute tits.
 
I'm feeling really perky with all the sunshine, but this ear infection, I've had all year is really beginning to take over my head.

I think we undervalue tinned fish in the UK.

I love going to supermarkets in particularly Spain and Portugal, where you get entire aisles devoted to it.

I brought back some tuna from Formentera only last week for this VERY REASON.

I'm also a tinned fish fan- it's a very different prospect to real fish.

Big fan of a good tin of sardines/tunas/anchovies and some cherry tomatoes and spaghetti for an easy but CHIC supper.
 
I can't stand tinned fish :zombie:

Mandy has tinned mackerel, salmon, tuna etc all the time and the smell turns my stomach.

I used to love tuna. But hate it now. But I miss tuna pasta, until I discovered mashed chick peas is a similar texture to tuna and ever so tasty in pasta.
 
Just been to see Gazelle Twin, bloody good she was too. Nice, sit-down theatre show too. Perfect when you're my age.
