This topic title is serving as a reminder to myself.

Currently sat in a room with a 10 year old taking his 11+. I feel like he's gone from confident to exhausted and resigned.

Nice kid though, I wish him well.

I'm infected. Code milky-green.

Why do these things always start late on a Friday so I can be ill all weekend but over it enough to return to work on Monday?
And I'll bet you'll feel like shit today and tomorrow, then wake up Monday thinking 'oh it's a little better, I can go in', then plough on though the week still feeling kind of shitty, just in time for it to bite you on the arse on Friday again. It's always the same.

That's exactly how it always goes!

Just been brought a coffee by a cheery Sixth Former. As things go it could be worse.

Mandy's home today after her 3 day holiday in Cornwall on her own.

I've decided I want to try going away on my own for a couple of nights.

What a contrast my comment is compared to Ag and Ron's :D

I must add, Mandy and I love spending time together and going on holiday together. It just doesn't happen often enough now we have the shop.

Mr L is taking early retirement in October. As much as I do love spending time with him, I'd be lying if I said I'm not slightly concerned by him being home all the time.

Maybe you could gently encourage him to join a club, or go travelling, or take a lover.
I mean I was thinking of seeing what voluntary opportunities the Cats Protection League had going, but these are all solid ideas.

Floppet's lurgee has made me realise that I chose to spend the last work-night before I go back to the office in a room full of strangers. Oops.

Actually, I'm more likely to get something in the office, aren't I?

Lovely little friend in the garden

It's raining. I'm perfectly content listening to podcasts on the bed with the cats. I don't want to go out. But I need to go and get cocktail supplies.

The following post is boring.

Despite not being particularly on my feet today, it was long without a proper break. My feet were in burning agony.

Ordered and inhaled a KFC, feet in a foot spa for 30 mins and then slathered in foot cream. Now dead, but not fully. Miss booze.

I just had some cocaine and now I'm sat watching catchphrase.

What could be more boring than that.

I'm listening to Swell Maps. Had the CD for ages but think I played it once, thought 'meh' and filed it away. In actual fact, it's well decent.

Does he have any plans for what to do with his time? :o

What a lovely day it’s been here. Popped to the allotment and harvested the last apples and pears, some tomatoes and half the potatoes, went to the tip with allotment junk, got coffee, went out for a stroll in the countryside and fruitless charity shopping and then to two TK Maxx’s where I bought yet more new clothes I can fit into, including a new size down trouser, Waitrose picky bits and a bottle of red for tea with a couple of episodes of In Vogue and now I’m off to bed.

God I wish I had some of Ron’s cocaine.
