The “comedy” films he was making was THE HANGOVER.

Now he can just stop making films altogether!

I hated that comment then. His comedies were just CRASS and SHITE. Nothing to do with “woke” culture.

Much like Jerry Seinfeld saying shit like “Seinfeld wouldn’t get on the air today”. Yet It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia proves that completely wrong.

Great news. Loved his jawline.

Thank God we've got a new single coming on October XX to waft the stench of flop away.

I quite like the idea that she’ll get out of it unscathed whilst the director retreats to tantrums and Phoenix won’t even have his gay sex film to distract everybody.

It’s starting to look like one of those films which, with the benefit of hindsight, was never going to be a success. Let’s take an already divisive first film, add something which is guaranteed to turn off the people who most passionately enjoyed the first one but who didn’t really understand it, and then let’s spend far too much money making it. Who authorised that?

Well it was much better than Joker by the fact that it wasn’t just a copycat film of better stuff that came before it, but it didn’t half GO ON AND ON.

Don’t know why people have been saying that Gaga allegedly had a reduced role. She was very much in it for an appropriate amount. Although I was quite distracted by her new puffy lips.

The versions of the songs on the soundtrack album sound HORRIBLE. I see why Gaga recorded her own versions.

This was.....entertaining but very, very flawed. Astonished they didn't give the audience what everyone really wanted in just 10 minutes of Gaga and Joaquin going on the rampage in Gotham. Much too long and about 3 too many songs.

Well fingers crossed this means they'll realise Joker and Harley Quinn are cunts and stop trying to make them happen. Also nice to see Batman Returns maintaining its distinction of being the only good Batman-related movie.

Joker is a great character, so I understand why they’d always fall back to him. Harley has never not been an irritant though, in any incarnation.

I always say it but I HATE how she's seen as a feminist icon (I know a woman who named her daughter after her for that very reason). She quit her career and changed her entire personality so an abusive boy would like her - how the fuck is that even remotely feminist?

Worldwide box office total is $121 million which is pretty decent. It's still a flop and is unlikely to make half of what Joker took but it's likely to go over it's $200 million budget in a week or two.

I liked it. Joaquin and Gaga are both magnetic. I liked the commentary that society / media / stans want binary, one-dimension, often nihilistic personas instead of real, complex, multi-faceted humans. It felt very meta for Gaga - so much of her audience wants her to stick to a single lane.

my main takeaway from that video is that Todd Philips really looks a LOT like Donald Sutherland (RIP)
