I’m at the airport and a girl next to me was shouting ‘BOOTS, BOOTS, BOOTS, BOOTS!’ and I thought she was losing it because someone was serving so hard, but actually she was just telling her friend on the phone she was sat next to the branch of boots.

I managed to blow both tyres last night after a two hour commute home in crazy traffic. Now I'm up nice and early waiting for them to get fixed.

I need to dust off my bike.

I'm trying to get McBusted tickets but it's proving harder than I thought :(

On a similar note, my 9 year old great niece has started using the word SLAY (very much in the drag rather than dragon sense), and it's really quite disconcerting.

We had an enby at work for a bit who said their pronouns were slay/them which I found delightfully unserious.

That whole lexicon has been adopted by the tween tiktok girlies.

So I rent a desk in an open plan office full of other young (HA!) entrepreneurs in a building owned by the university. It works really well, shared services, kinda cheap, and it's not too busy or noisy.

Or wasn't. They also let business students have access to the shared spaces, but this year for the first time have said they can have their own desks. Literally overnight, my shared space has gone from three people to ELEVEN! As I type, there is one kid FAST ASLEEP on the desk over from me, ACTUALLY SNORING. :D

Who the fuck signed off on this? I've just spent all morning enquiring about where to move to...

Yesterday I moved my work stuff into the communal office, not by choice, and I'm finding it hard dealing with the immature attitude and actions of our 18 year old apprentice. As an example I was eating my butty and reading the internet and he asks "so am I your favourite colleage then?" so I told him "yes, you're absolutely delightful to work with" then looked back at the screen and took another bite of food and he asked "what?" so I repeated myself and then he asked "what?" again. Like a five year old would.

I don't want to make him cry so I'm trying my hardest to make allowances for his youth.
