Gloria just didn't have the Latino flavoured bongo frenzied pop hits, she could do a glossy, drippy ballad as well as any of them. Below are the three biggies though. Which is your fave?

Her new album is very good, such a shame her profile has slid so much. Don't Wanna Lose You Now is an orgasm.

I agree, Miss Little Havana is really enjoyable. I love the title track, Make Me Say Yes, Wepa, Hotel Nacional and Medicine the most.

'Can't Stay Away From You' but I like them all.

I have to admit I've always preferred her ballads to her uptempo stuff.

Her Coming Out of The Dark album was pretty shit if I remember correctly, but still gave her a few hits. Now if only the Freemasons would tart up some of her current songs to make them better for the gym and rubbish gay clubs.

It does seem strange that she did no promo in the UK, so I really don't know. I don't think she's even with Sony even more.

you kinda missed "Words Get In The Way", "Here We Are" and "Coming Out Of The Dark", but nice thread. She really can NAIL a pop ballad.

"Don't Wanna Lose You Now" is one of my favourite pop songs of the 90s. So that.

Miss Little Havana only came out on ITunes here.

Funky, you're quite right but I just went with the three signature ballads that were top 10 here.

I wasn’t expecting this to be the thread that this notification was for. I meant she is basically known generally for the uptempos but she also has these quality ballads in her repetoire not just the high voltage Latin stuff.
