Morning.

The weather is shit, work is annoying me, and Gaga is still three days away.

Feel like pure shit just want a holiday and a disease :(
 
I've PERKED MYSELF UP with a JOLLY NEW JUMPER (and not the charity shop one from yesterday's post) and the sun is shining, it's DELIGHTFULLY CRISP.

Also suicidal.
 
I'm finding it terribly hard to come to terms with the fact that I am turning FORTY FUCKING SEVEN in three days time. That's PROPER late 40s, not even "mid".

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
 
It's quite the GLORIOUS morning here, and I'm walking to the station to go to Salisbury for the day. And Salisbury is one of my very favourite places :disco:
 
I've not been to Salisbury for an ABSOLUTE AGE.

Well, not since that DIRTY LAYBY closed down.

I bought a lovely new jumper at the weekend. I always was a jumper person, but switched increasingly to cardigans when I got fat as I never liked how they looked on me any more.

Now I've lost a lot of paunch, it's quite the joy liking how they look on me again.

In fact I may try to find another new one today. I fancy something in claret.
 
My instagram keeps showing me jumpers from M&S and there is one I quite fancy so I might treat myself when next I leave the flat.

Though shopping at M&S is a sign of AGING. :( How many decades have you shopped there @Sheena ?

Weirdly, entirely the other way around for me. Always found cardigans just sagged in the wrong place. Today's is still a TAD tight around the edges but I like it muchly.

Yeah, I might have progressed to a lot of TK MAXX but M&S is a CAGOULE TOO FAR.

M&S have always been at least a little better for knitwear than their image has suggested. Or at the least you can make it younger by what you wear it with.

It's when you start considering their slacks that you need to worry.

I mean, even NEXT was difficult to admit to in my 30s.
 
Anyway @Sheena, why haven't you been to Salisbury for an age? It's a lovely little trip on the train for you.

In fact it would be a great place for us to go and meet @Star for the day.

I did read an article somewhere recently which was saying how they have successfully repositioned themselves younger.

It did scream that the writer was trying to make peace with their own age more than anything else, though.
 
It's a BUGGER to drive into, which is probably the main reason.

But I would HAPPILY do so if I had a reason!
 
Another day in bed. I don’t know what I have but I refuse to take a Covid test because if it’s positive that would be the fourth time I’ve had it :oi:

I got a shirt for a wedding at M&S earlier this year. I spent ages wandering around many shops in Manchester looking for something simple, formal and not CHEAP. I ended up in M&S in desperation and it was AMAZING. They have all the different cuts in half inch increments to try on in the dressing room and I found the perfect fit for my weirdly broad shoulders. I got really excited about how good it was before realising what I was celebrating.
 
Anyway I only came on here to moan about how busy I am and how I feel like I've done 4 days work already this week, but Sheena's jumper cheered me right up.
 
I'm eating microwave spaghetti Bolognese and drinking red wine out of a mug, in the shop at the moment. I'm off out to meet friends so thought I'd start early, and I'm the boss so no one can tell me off :disco:
