JADE - Fantasy

I think if you're a name/fanbase artist, the first week is still the deciding factor in nine out of ten cases. The ones that slowly crawl up tend to be the more faceless tracks or new artists going viral organically.

Hence Angel Of My Dreams debuting in the top ten, whereas this is likely to go in around the 40-60 mark. It's possible that she could bounce back from that I guess, but it doesn't seem likely.
 
I think the hype with Angel of my Dreams helped with it’s chart performance, along with good Spotify playlist support.

I really don’t know why this hasn’t started off much stronger, it will be a real shame if her subsequent singles don’t do much on the charts.
 
Something fresh out of the gates will always seem more exciting than follow up singles.

She'll be lucky to get any bigger than Angel Of My Dreams.
 
I think the problem for Jade is that she had the most prominent position on the NMF playlist yet still failed to make the Spotify top 200 in the UK. Therefore they are unlikely to add her to the lists that really make a difference - Hot Hits for example.
 
I think this is growing on me a BIT but the spoken verses are just such a turn-off.

If this is in relation to the post you made before, NMF has very little bearing on a chart position.

It's the main pop, dance and rap playlists that everyone follow and are the biggest contribution to passive streaming and therefore chart positions.
 
NMF influences pretty much the first day streams only. after that it's up to the likes of Today's Top Hits and the other playlists with big reach to help a song break out. that's why there's usually a substantial drop after the first weekend while a song finds its feet (either sinks or begins to build into a proper hit either organically or with playlist support).

Couldn’t agree less. What she’s done is manage to capture people’s interest and excitement. Does that always translate to streams? No… not necessarily immediately but she’s built a following and created a community and long term that will transcend streams and charts and give her a career.

Yeah, I feel likes she's laid the groundwork to carve a little niche for herself, and they've already recorded the album and a bunch of music videos, so assuming the label don't get cold feet, she's got a few opportunities to throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks.
 
This wasn't a moment like Angel, but based on the three tracks released to date I am still very excited to experience a JADE FULL LENGTH
 
Complete shame, but as stated I think she’s carved a bit of a path that should see her much more well off than the others.
 
She said from the beginning she wasn’t chasing charts and sales didn’t she?

Unfortunately for her it was the most commercial song that flopped on entry….

I still maintain it could cross over if radio supports it better than the other ones. It has more potential there. But hey ho.
 
sometimes I wonder if little instant grats work. Sometimes they do in the direct lead up to the album, but did Midnight Cowboy dampen the second singles arrival? I think it did a bit and this was not the event it could have been. It's also not as good/the hit that Angel was...
 
This has grown on me considerably.

I can't quite shake the feeling that it was created to be lipsynced to, though.
 
2 million on Spotify, its not exactly sinking without trace
 
I think it's brilliant (comfortably my favourite release in the past month), and I love the video too.

I wouldn't use a Jade branded butt plug though

I actually much prefer this! it's more dynamic with him whispering his sexy shit all over it. chorus feels fuller. just what I needed to take the song to a 9 :disco:

he was on one of the best tracks on Tove's last album! he doesn't sing, his main talent is sounding sexy while speaking and looking hot.
