Holly Macve is hugely slept on.

Pitiful streaming numbers, but the "Not The Girl" album was fab. "Little Lonely Heart" is an absolutely gorgeous little tune.

I wasn't wild about the previous Miranda single but this one is a bit more like it:



I think their moment passed a bit but I always enjoy Midland. Old Fashioned Feeling is the better of the two:



Megan Moroney's album is out this week. She gives good country ballad, see No Caller ID:

 
I liked the James Bay lost hat album, and Noah Kahan is usually better when he is with someone else but not keen on that.

DASHA has now been UK top ten for 16 consecutive weeks, without going any higher than number 7.

I'm absolutely loving this. Bruce is sounding very old now, but it works on this earthy, warm sound.

 
New country queen Lainey Wilson's album is out this week. Some of it is not for me but the title track I do really like:



Miranda Lambert is in winning ballad mode again, and she sounds lovely, even if it isn't quite up there with my favourite Carousel:

Shawn Mendes wants to play this week too. This is very Ray LaMontagne coded and therefore very good

Out of the new album tracks I also really like "Cold Water Canyon Avenue" and "San Fran Honey"

I've only given it one play so far. I will give it another go but I was a bit put off by most of the best tracks being from the EP.
 
Slim pickings release wise this week but this is a winning pairing:



His album seems to be coming up a lot in the year end discussion so far and I do love this song:

 
Currently obsessed with this bright, breezy and relistenable stunner. Very new to me and I've tried a couple of tracks by her which aren't as good, but I love this enough to try a few more from her catalogue.

 
This has been taking off and I'm really enjoying it. He seems very influenced by Zach Bryan which isn't a bad thing

I think I missed the announcement of his divorce from Amanda Shires last year. Eileen and Gravelweed very much go there.
 
Also The Ting Tings going all Fleetwood Mac has to count as an unlikely development:

 
OMG! Bizarre as Ting Tings came up one of my playlists last night and my first thought was that I forgot they existed and assumed they must have split up.

That first track is STUNNING. The second one sounds like Gaga & Cooper on the A Star Is Born soundtrack. I didn’t even know the boy Ting Ting could sing…
 
I need to give the Hannah Cohen album another go, but this one is lovely and gets ever more Mac-esque the longer it goes on:

 
New EP from Michael Marcagi and it sounds really good. The title track / single is one of my favourite songs of the year so far.

 


The title track is the best of the new songs. Was slightly surprised just how much of the singing MAN TING does.

This is probably more pop but it is a toe tapper:



Cam always sings very sweetly but this is a bit of a stunner:

I think their voices combine a little better on this one:



Zach was the first credited on Bowery and Kings of Leon on this. Both lean KoL to me, more so Bowery if anything.
 
Margo Price seemed to have settled into an Americana groove but her new album is more trad country. I especially like Close To You and the Tyler Childers duet:



This is much more boppy and soul leaning than what I've heard from Medium Build:

 
Sheryl Crow raving about this new fella - mostly because she co-produced the song - but it's a really good track

 
I keep forgetting to mention that Paper Kites have a new album coming soon... my favourite band in the world, sounds like the new one will lean country like the last album, but still very much folk/Americana. I saw them live at Somerset House in the summer and it was transcendent. This is the lead single
