Oh to have a Tuesday with a perfectly SPHERICAL SHADOW!

Does 'perfectly spherical shadow' have something to do with Peppa Pig? ๐Ÿ˜„

I am going shopping with my mum, probably getting something for my birthday tomorrow, possibly also a dress to wear at my graduation ๐ŸŽ“ Friday 22nd (looking online for ages but still haven't agreed on one).

The sky has been looking a lot nicer today and yesterday than at the start of November. Hopefully nice tomorrow too. โ˜บ๏ธ๐ŸŒค๐Ÿช„

We're off to Cardiff today so Mandy can go see The Corrs.

I'm going to the cinema but I'm torn between seeing Heretic or Blitz ๐Ÿค”

Yes, it is a reference to @Lucille's BEST EVER POST

Maybe theyโ€™ll invite the very alluring DADDY PIG to Saturdayโ€™s events as well!

Oh to have a man with a perfectly SPHERICAL SHADOW!

I'm very excited, I'm getting a height adjustable desk and a walking pad delivered today, so I get to be the most annoying person on Teams meetings!

You don't need a height adjustable desk or a walking pad. All you need is to believe in yourself and you can be the most annoying person on Teams meetings.

OOOH, I've got a height adjustable desk in the new office, but DO I NEED A WALKING PAD? :disco:

I've had QUITE THE MORNING switching between journalist/technical marketing specialist/pharma CEO in the space of 2 hours. TIme for a lie down.

Call me OBSOLETE but I quite like going for an old timey outside walk.

I can see the appeal. Back when the weather was nice I'd like to go out for a stroll on an evening, but quite frankly FUCK THAT now.

Plus most of my steps on weekdays come from getting to and from work, or walking around health centres. If I worked from home, I'd do fuck all.

This was my thinking exactly. The weather and the darkness has completely destroyed how much walking I am doing since the summer, so I need an alternative.

I have an exercise bike which has just been pressed back into service in the last few weeks after spending the summer as an ersatz clothes horse/drying rack. I find that slightly less weird than a walking pad.

I think I walk more in the spring/autumn/winter than I do the summer because I hate walking when it's anything over 21 degrees.

Yesterday we walked in 10 degrees sunshine and it was beautiful, perfect walking weather.

Sadly, given that I work full time, that means I can only really do that on a weekend, which just isn't often enough.
The perks of only working 3-4 days a week :disco:

Although I also enjoy a dark walk, but I suppose it depends how safe the area is to walk in at night. And if it's just round streets. We have a lit esplanade.

I think perfect walking weather for me is kind of mid teens.

I'm still walking loads though - averaging over 17k steps a day so far in November, but that's largely thanks to only working a two day week temporarily and having proper days out consciously, rather than sitting around the house in my pants.

I REALLY enjoy my walk to work at the moment. It's about 15 minutes ish, but takes me into the town centre, which is quite BUZZY, especially at night.

This is what I miss about having an office. The walk to/from the tram and when I popped out at lunch was almost meditative. I'd ruminate on problems or issues and by the time I got back to my desk I'd have worked them out. The gym is a good substitute but there is something on a subconscious level about being around the buzz of industry. I'm weirdly looking forward to having some sort of space again, but this time I'm not going to be responsible for letting everyone in if I can't be arsed to go.

My gym is also halfway along the walk, which is handy, though I couldn't face it this morning, having said that.

Being this close to my office really is a gamechanger. I love not having to get into the car.

I have toyed with getting somewhere walkable but with me living on the tram stop and it only being 15-20 mins I think city centre makes better business sense. I don't mind a quick tram ride as long as its not rush hour.

I'm thankfully that close TO the city centre. Not that anyone actually ever visits- again THANKFULLY :D

Good morning besties! Is Moopy in mourning or something? First time ever none of my subscribed threads have been posted in since the previous day.

Much concern.

I've just been to see Heretic with Mandy. Hugh grant was good, very different to his usual roles, but I still just kept thinking "well he's not dangerous, he's bumbling Hugh grant".

Next up, Blitz.
