I'm going to South Africa tomorrow, where its 30 degrees, and then I come back and goto Poland less than 24 hours later next weekend to snow.

On the train home from Birmingham. I must say they have done a lovely job with the Christmas decorations and has probably the best German Christmas market I've ever seen in the UK.

Did I tell you I went two weeks ago? It was lovely! We were there in the evening and it was quite magical.

Yeah, it was lovely. The parts in Centenary Square and Victoria Square particularly. Less so the stalls lining New St, because they do what the market here does - create jams all up and down a pedestrianised street, and make getting from one side to the other difficult. But even then, the lights in the trees were magical.

I'm sure most of the stalls were selling the same old tat they sell everywhere, but I didn't stop to roll my eyes and check.
