When are you switching your heating on?

It's 0 here. The heating is on 15.5 and we're making do with blankets, hot waters bottles and candles. It's quite pleasant in the front room at least.

I've had to put on a TERRIBLE CHRISTMAS ROM-COM to handle the ridiculous FESTIVE EMOTIONS I was feeling

I was a student (briefly) in Lancaster. I'm not sure I liked it THAT much, but it was definitely better than a lot of the towns around it.

I genuinely loved the process of chopping and sorting wood when I lived in Spain. Can't imagine its quite as much fun in rural England though.

We’ve had it on more this winter than last (when I don’t think we bothered more than once or twice) but still really just an hour in the evening on full blast. That just about covers it. Being on the top floor has its advantages.

I've had an alert from the MINISTRY OF WARNINGS that we should expect significant snowfall on Saturday evening.

But the BBC weather app is saying it'll be 12°C on Sunday, so presumably it won't be hanging around long.

I am hoping it doesn’t melt here then turn in to ICE. It doesn’t look we are getting above 2 degrees here before a week on Saturday though. Everything looks prettier when it snows, and it will be welcomed after the comedown of the festivities.
