Kylie - Tension II (Album XVIb)

They are a production duo apparently. Without a video though, I say what’s the point?

This is the track after LCA that seems to be getting the PUSH since the album release. But is it a PROPER SINGAL? I declare this a PUSH SINGLE

Good as Gone and Kiss Bang Bang are single worthy if you ask me.
Kiss Bang Bang has quickly become my favourite. I hope she performs it.

What the hell! The album version is perfect. This removes parts of it and makes it worse.

This era really has no higher ambitions beyond 'songs you might vaguely recognise playing in the background during a Love Island bar scene', does it?

Kind of wish I'd bought the digital extended version album when it was available, but realisitically I doubt I'd be playing it.

I bought one of the gazillion vinyl variants but I don't even think I've unwrapped it

Has Tension I crawled over 100k yet?

I assume II is still considerably under 50k.

I thought Tension was actually not too bad at all. Better than Disco anyway. Tension II I just have / had no interest in.

According to the BPI Tension I was certified gold on 17/01/2025. Can't find anything for Tension II, and Wikipedia isn't claiming it either.

Considering it took I 16 months to go from 53k on opening week to 100k, I find it hard to think II has gone from 32k in week one to 60k in 3 months, considering how fast it fell out the charts, and that streaming figures are mediocre.

It's in my theoretical top 20. Along with about 50 other tracks, naturellement :disco:

I low-key want her to pull the ultimate troll move and release Tension III to coincide with the tour kickoff and split the show into three acts centred around the three Tension albums, with only a few snippets of hits thrown in

Just to piss off @Christian

I'd actually love a properly left field move like that!

She won't though, and quite right too.

---- intro: All The Lovers (video only)
TENSION ACT 1
--- intermission : SAW GH Medley while people are getting hotdogs and drinks ----
TENSION ACT 2
--- intermission: Parlophone era medley while people are getting fried chicken and drinks ----
TENSION ACT 3
---- outro: Padam Padam (instrumental only)

I'm taking my sister to see Kylie for the first time at the Tension Tour. I want her to see the gays losing their minds every time she rolls out the merest whiff of an old school BANGER :disco:

I'd fork out plenty to watch that!

I wouldn't take my sister along with me though.

Again @Christian I just think perhaps you've grown out of Kylie. If you haven't really liked THREE of her last albums, that should really tell you something.

If the Tension Tour is a straight up greatest hits tour it will bore me to tears. We had one of those just five years ago.

I'm hoping for at least half of the setlist to be made up of BMG songs, with Dancing being the only inclusion from Golden.

There is a rumoured setlist from rehearsals out there (probably fake) which looks pretty amazing (but not so much if you don't like the Tension era 😂)

I guess I represent the Mopsy minority when I say that I actually really really liked both Tension albums and particularly the 2nd installment more than the 1st.
And I will be vehemently disappointed if the Tension tour setlist isn't heavy on songs from these 2 albums.
Again, I'm aware I'm not voicing a popular opinion, but I'm very glad Kylie released these 2 albums personally as a fan.
@Eddie , support me maybe? :basil:

She's not STUPID, she'sd going to do the HITZ, but WHAT HITZ is sometimes the problem

She did very well during the Hyde Park concert with how she combined the Tension songs with the classics.
I don't think I've ever been disappointed by a Kylie tour setlist.
Or maybe I'm just easily pleased :zsazsa:

The Hyde Park concert was very much a Greatest Hits show, though (and as it should have been). She didn't do THAT many Tension songs.

I've always had a great night at a Kylie gig, sure, but I could do with certain songs being replaced- never need to hear CGYOOMH live again (though I appreciate that can't ever be dropped), but Love at First Sight, On A Night Like This, Spinning Around and The LocoFUCKINGMotion could happily disappear for a while for me.
