Why can we not have a sexy men Saturday

It's Saturday so I've got the tunes on waiting for a parcel. Nothing expensive like last week, just a bit oversized. So far we've had some REM and now Caroline Polachek.

What’s new in the REM world?
Nothing new but I'd tapped out a bit towards the end - coverage on the What Is Music? podcast led me to pick up REM Live, Live At The Olympia and Collapse Into Now all of which I never bothered with (I only bought Accelerate after seeing the 2LP/CD comb for £12).

I've had to pretend to work to stop Mr F talking to me :D

I've got a pile of paperwork on the chair next to me and have left the laptop with the accounting software open, when I hear him coming downstairs I quickly turn off the telly and hotfoot it to the dining table and start hitting calculator buttons.

Some may think that this is cruel and not the way a loving wife should treat her loving husband. Those people clearly haven't had to listen to a fifteen-minute play-by-play of a Youtube video about sharks realising they can pop rubber dinghys and eat the people out of them.

Everyone is watching various national Eurovision heats…

Although I’ve had a splendid day charity shopping, having lunch and generally BIMBLING about.

It's just so COLD outside though. We had the usual swimming this morning and then just didn't know where to go so stayed home

I’m so bored of it being cold. I keep saying it, I know, but it’s ENDLESS.

We just had to get out because I can’t face a whole weekend indoors.

I feel like I've normalised this music noise from next door, but deep down it's beginning to give me anxiety. I shouldn't have to turn my tv up to hear it over their music every Saturday :(

Would you sacrifice the space of your current house to be in a better part of town? It might be worth it for your sanity!

That's the thing, this is a good part of town. The problem is them only, no one else behaves like that around here.

That’s not going to change though! If you love the house enough to put up with that then fair enough. But it seems like this has been going on FOREVER! You shouldn’t be forced out of a house you love but there are other options if it makes you this unhappy daily!

Have you reported them to the council ?

I did years ago, but now it's picked up the pace again so I think I'll try again. We live on a crossroads and there are people on the other street also complaining in our neighbourhood WhatsApp. So it's not just me.

It's Saturday nights, during the week you don't hear them.

Yes get on it ! Also do they own or rent ?

Well can you report to the landlord ? I'm sure they'll be something in their contract

Tried that, they're not interested. They're managed by an estate agent but again who are useless. Anyhoo might need to get my gay chat longe friends to make anonymous calls to the estate agent complaining :disco:

Have you tried being VERY LOUD every Sunday morning ?
