What I really want is the original Secret demo with Shep which was apparently hypersexual and more in the Erotica era vibe ..

It’ll be around £40 at least and “limited” to 20,000 copies and we will all buy more than one copy and it will sell out blah blah

The whole vinyl thing is so tedious at this point isn’t it
 
Oh I’ve also just realised it says “a never before heard story”. So just one unreleased song.

Are Goodtime and Tongue Tied demos of songs or originals do we know? Cause that list ain’t coming to fruition if it’s the latter.
 
I hope there isn’t a vinyl exclusive for one of the unreleased songs, I need these on streaming asap

"ATTENTION: The Untold Chapter’, the 👑 ⭐ @madonna commemorative recording of the 30th anniversary of ‘Bedtime Stories’, will consist of 8 tracks.

Among them will be Shep Pettibone’s versions of ‘Secret’, ‘I’d Rather Be Your Lover’ and ‘Inside Of Me’; as well as ‘Goodtime’, ‘Tongue Tied’ and ‘Bring It’, unreleased tracks on which Pettibone was also a producer.

📍 Soon it will be available to pre-order on major platforms.
 
Wonder what the other two are? Shame it isn't 9 tracks- Love Won't Wait, Your Honesty, Let Down Your Guard on vinyl for starters (though I hate Your Honesty...).

Whilst it isn't Prince-esque levels, there's been leaks over the years enough to suggest there's probably a good few songs from each era at the very least and there must be loads we don't know about.
 
Is there anything left from that era. I know there’s “Right On Time” but Pettibone didn’t work on that one.

Yeah I don’t think she lived in the studio but there’s been enough leaks to know there’s goodies still in there
 
I wonder if the songs will use their original titles- Secret, of course, was Something's Coming Over Me and Inside of Me was I Will Always Have You under Pettibone.
 
I hope they use the demo names. That way it’s easier to get them when searching on streaming
 
So are there any songs here that nobody has heard yet?

I've always been useless with Madonna rarities, I just don't pay attention for some reason. I remember discovering the demos for Ray Of Light via moopy YEARS ago and being so fascinated and invested :D and then promptly forgot about them all again. I'm sure I have some of the mp3s somewhere but legal streaming has made me very lazy about keeping a collection of rare stuff...
 
Yeah, all three of the ones in the first post are completely unheard.

The demos too.
 
First thoughts are “fuck me, she’s actually opening the vaults”- three new songs, two demos and a bside- but also that I wish we could get our hands on the original Shep mixes.

Same but for fuck's sake woman just give us some proper nice deluxe reissues... give us a big vinyl box with 3-4 discs, expanded artwork, reflective writings etc... give us ALLLL the sauces (Nando's reference) ..
Still.. better than nothing..

Well yes, this. The double CD is a nice touch, but there could be so much more.

Still, minor complaints- VERY happy to get this. It bodes well for the real glory years stuff- imagine if we actually got Warning Signs and Desperately Seeking Susan...
 
I haven’t paid enough attention to the era (other than buying the original album) to know what is potentially available but that does seem to have more new content than I was expecting.

There's more songs for sure (Your Honesty has already been released elsewhere, few other entirely unreleased songs- Tongue Tied and Bring It are two at least), but most importantly for many, she started the album with Shep Pettibone and there's the songs from that, particularly "holy grail" being an early version of Secret called Something Coming Over Me which is different from the version we know and is more pop/ club/ dance than RnB. (And is the reason he is credited as a writer on the song, even though he had nothing to do with the version of Secret we all know.)
