I’m going to brave the icy roads and go to work this am. Wish me luck girlies.

11 degrees Celsius and PISSING RAIN here. I much preferred the cold and bright days BUT the temperatures are on the rise at last. Heading in to March shortly so surely that is IT.

Is it still freezing? You aren’t really used to these cold snaps in your neck of the woods, right?
Yeah -2 F here currently.

We NEVER get this cold down here in swamp ass Arkansas so it’s not fun :D I finally get to use my nice winter coats though so that’s a plus

I'm not wearing my big winter coat for the first time in AGES. Popped on a little BOMBER jacket instead and someone on the reception desk downstairs said "Ooh, dressed for summer" as I walked in. (Wearing shades, whilst carrying an umbrella as it's raining :disco: )

Not sure if that was thunder or wind but WHAT A FUCKING RACKET.

We've got two men in upgrading the Sky (no idea to what, I let him deal with that), and I always feel anxious when we have workmen in the house. Once I've offered them tea or coffee I don't know what to do with myself.

I had the most stunning looking joiner round yesterday and spent the majority of the time undressing him with my eyes.

I genuinely haven't even registered what they looked like. I've left Mr L downstairs with them and am planning on hiding up here until they leave.

Oh, when I have MEN IN I just say "Sorry, I need to look after the cats in here, knock if you need anything" and HIDE AWAY

Well I’ve seen a few films…

As ours are indoor, I do genuinely worry about that, one because they are very anxious around other people, and also because I get worried about them getting out with people coming in and out all the time. So that's exactly what I have done. I'm not sure I'd have felt comfortable doing it if he wasn't downstairs with them, though.

Not exclusively. We have very few people around, though.

You said you feel anxious when you have workmen in the house, and Zen said he hides away. I just wondered why with workmen as it doesn’t bother me at all. 🤷‍♀️

I stay right on top of them in case they want to try anything like thievery

I had almost a month when our kitchen was being done of the most GORGEOUS young men I've ever known alive and he was flirty, lovely and genuinely just a DELIGHT to have round the house and it changed my mind entirely about workmen annoying me (as they GENERALLY DO). At the end he even said "I want you two to adopt me". IT COULD BE ARRANGED, LOVE. I still look him up occasionally four years later to see what he's up to :D

I'm scared they'll want to start conversations about football or something
Particularly when it's about Sky. And every conversation ends up with I HAVE NO FUCKING INTEREST IN FOOTBALL SO STOP OFFERING ME FREE SKY SPORTS

I didn’t have Moopy down as being such ANXIOUS PASSENGERS. I can talk the hind legs off a donkey with anyone online or offline. :D

You're surprised that a group of UNHINGED GAYS whose primary interest is ONLINE SONG COMPETITIONS are SOCIALLY AWKWARD IN REAL LIFE!?

I didn’t actually think that most of you just have an online persona and hide away in cupboards in real life.

I love chit chatting with anyone but I have a country accent and speak with a thick tongue so people usually just look at me like I’m a bit off or just say “what?” a lot :D When I did travel nursing in Philadelphia nobody seemed to know what the fuck I was saying. I didn’t think it was THAT bad but maybe it is

It's why people always TALK about MOOPMEETS but they hardly ever happen!

We can't all be @VoR flapping open his gown for the trade in the Wirral Hovel

Adopt was clearly a metaphor

I don't mind having workmen round. By the time I've offered them a brew I can usually tell if they're happy to chat or would rather be left alone and I do accordingly.

One day, in the mid-90s, I'd taken a day's holiday from work because we were having a door blocked up and plastered over so I was playing SSX (snowboarding console game) in the room he was plastering in. After he'd finished plastering I thrashed his arse at SSX three times. :D

I did WONDER but he was just a big old straight flirt- one of those pretty boys who knew EXACTLY what he was doing but would have no intention of following anything through.

WE'VE ALL HAD 'EM.
