Stereophonics - new album Make 'Em something something April 2025

Always found Kelly Jones attractive and apparently he is very well endowed thanks to my academic research on the lpsg.com anals. I've also only just discovered he isn't related to bassist Richard Jones. I won't fact check whether Tom Jones is the dad. Also loving the MDNA artwork homage in the expensive looking 2nd single video.
 
Listen, there's a lot that I'll tolerate, but I categorically do not come to Moopy for earnest discussion on the merits of the STEREOPHONICS.
 
Both singles are both really very very bland nothingness I'm afraid

But I have recently come across a couple of Kelly Jones' tracks from his solo album last year, and they were surprisingly good if not completely MISERABLE

He has not aged

Putting this into a pop toilet is so fucking rude. But Jessica Simpson and fucking JADE are totally legit! Y'all need a serious look at yourselves.

But there is a teensy bit of truth with Mopsy taking umbrage at someone declaring the Stereophonics acceptable, whilst there is a big old merry discussion of HEIDI MONTAG under "Classics" :D

I'm guessing there wasn't more where Dakota came from - the moment was there for them, yet they just seemed to disappear. 2005 was such a phenomenal year in music, both pop and rock.
 
I have no actual need for a Stereophonics album in 2025, but this being in the Pop toilet is ludicrous. They’ve had eight number one studio albums, which is the same as Kylie and only one less than Madonna.
 
By that measure we should probably also move Ed Sheeran
 
Sorry if it turns out he’s very active with Amnesty International or something, but the 1-2-3 punch of Mr Writer, Have a Nice Day and Handbags & Gladrags is instant cunt of the millenium fodder for me.

Any decent parent would support and love their child of course but I still thought it was very cool how publicly supportive he was of his son as he transitioned from the age of 15 to male as well as of the LGBTQ+ society given that his fanbase is not necessarily from that demographic, but perhaps some only value female support.
 
I didn’t know that. DON’T MAKE ME WARM TO HIM. I've been nursing this one-sided animus for nigh-on 30 years!
 
Look it's lovely that he loves his kid unconditionally, but then again he did write Step On My Old Size Nines* so I'm still fairly comfortable in my moral high ground.

* CHRIST, the singles from that album... :zombie:
 
I'm just lookin' (:basil:) on lpsg again and all the pics are dead links. V2 really did try to corner this market: I remember another band they tried to launch with a similar style called Annie Christian; when I recently looked them up (Google, not lpsg) it was a bit like a League of Gentleman sketch. There really was such a glut of terrible indie bands at this time though (late 90s).
