I’ve noticed there hasn’t been one in ages and they used to be on all the time

I admittedly checked out a while ago but I have a doomed song to enter so WHAT GIVES
 
I was thinking of running ASFM (A Song for MONGE) where the winner receives a sickening 1 year supply of MONGE, and the rest of you are sent off to the mincer.
 
ASFM died. There was a massive explosion and @ButterTart was caught in the blast. It was very sad.

Surely it could quite comfortably be a twice a year thing? Shortly after Eurovision and then Jan or something
 
I was also wondering this recently; found some more Moopy-aligned songs since, I think :D
 
I discovered a lot of really good music through ASFM but think it somewhat limited the site wider posting about music because people would want to ‘save’ songs and not talk about them outside the competition
 
I enjoyed these generally though the last few did seem to consist of largely the same sort of song being submitted and voted for over and over on the whole and nobody really giving some of the outliers a chance, or at least it felt that way.During lockdown it was way more diverse but yeah I’d prob play again.
 
I like the Christmas edition a lot.

I thought it worked better during covid moreso because people actually attended the viewings and the results. It can be a little sad nowadays when there are two people watching and four at the results.
 
Plus I’d hazard a guess that at least a third of those playing don’t listen to the songs in the last few at least
 
Did Butters Smith & Thell entry win or did it just do well? I remember the video had a runaway horse and cart ?

The fact that I submitted a song named Out With a Bang to the most recent round and now ASFM is dead. My MIND.

And there was me thinking my return with an AMBIENT runner-up would change the ASFM meta. :(
