EastEnders 2025

I guess that depends on how long she can string the podcast out for. If she can carry on raking in £££ by being an INFLUENCER and moaning for an hour each week about wallpaper and laundry, that's got to beat learning lines and routinely giving birth in inappropriate locations.

I see Linda Henry is going to be in the new series of Mr Bigstuff with Danny Dyer. Come back to Eastenders Shirl. :(

Oh no. 😢

Is she back filming full time yet or still on maternity leave? I did always think she was a bit wasted on Eastenders. She was fantastic in Our Girl and much better than Michelle Keegan.

Oh that makes sense, it never really tracked how they spent so much time building Eve and Suki up only for it to just...stop. How sad :(

As for Lacey, she is obviously a force of an actress, but generally I find Stacey Slater to be insufferable as a character. Still a major loss to the show.

I do like them now explicitly acknowledging now that Gillian Taylforth has defied all time and space.

Jean comparing herself as boring and mumsy vs "exciting and glamorous" Kathy would be a trip for anyone who watched Kathy's original stint.

I like that they’re pointing out a lot of home truths in the episode. Harvey did properly tell Jean the reasons and how she pushed him away, and Stacey knowing that she can’t judge, considering how many times she’s cheated on someone.

Not another secret recording revel of an affair, and in The Vic not too long after Cindy and Junior reveal at Christmas.

The bit tonight with the baby not latching on is the start of a storyline whereby the baby is going to be partially sighted :(

Tonight's was a brilliant episode I thought - attachment theory on steroids right there!

YAWN

What's the betting on him hooking up with Cindy?

I was hoping for Mick the Night Caff Man or Polly the Journalist

Maybe he’ll assist with Stacey leaving? It does make sense since he has Annie on the Square and now a new grandchild.

I'm fine with Stacey leaving for a few years, this is not her best era if you ask me

Peter Beale gives nothing time and time again. More bloody life in a shop mannequin. I might have known the pub would look the same  Soaps are so afraid of changing sets

I think it was a mistake to keep Stacey and Martin apart for so long. The show treats them like they were an endgame / love-of-each-others-lives couple. But they spent far more time apart than together, usually for the flimsiest of reasons, and they teased reunions that wouldn't materialise twenty times too often.

Whilst I know established wisdom is happy stable pairings = BOREDOM, what it also means is we usually got the most MISERABLE version of Stacey. Lacey Turner does MISERABLE and CRYING very well of course, but you need a bit of light and dark before it all gets a bit MUCH and ONE NOTE, and I don't think we ever got that balance with her.

MUCH MUCH better episode tonight.

No spoilers, but are they sending Ian Beale off into the manosphere?
