Morning.

I really thought that losing a debit card in 2025 would be so much easier. One is coming in the post, but why can't I use it on my phone? What's the POINT?

Greetings from London where we saw Scissor Sisters last night (very good) and are now spending the day mincing, charity shopping in posh areas and going to the Moominhouse thing on the South Bank 😊

Oh no I left it in Tesco, while buying food on Thursday night. I cancelled it immediately, and now I can shop virtually NOWHERE.

I moved funds on to my credit card, but that's fresh from the envelope too so decided not to work last night in a shop.

I'm in financial NO MANS LAND.

But yes it was a good night. I enjoyed a succulent Chinese meal and sunk some wine, watching the lovely Confidence Man on TV.

I lost my wallet in Paris and I’m pretty sure my Apple Pay cards worked right away?

Yeah if you have Apple Pay it should update to your new card as soon as it’s issued?

Not sure how I coped in my 20s constantly losing my wallet with no Apple Pay. Having to put a funny code into an ATM to get cash out. I simply wouldn’t survive that now.

I remember having to withdraw cash in person at the bank using a CHEQUE BOOK during one of my lost card wilderness eras.

SAMSUNG WALLET doesn't appear to like it.

I SHALL BRAVELY PERSIST.

I have just managed to order a Greggs breakfast. I'm not entirely CUT OFF

KEEP CASH ALIVE etc

I’ve just bought a lovely new hat in a charity shop

I have a kitchen mystery and it's proper playing on my mind. This morning I discovered a small puddle of water on the kitchen floor, probably only about four teaspoons, but I've no idea where it came from. It's not close enough to the door to be the door leaking and it's nowhere near any cupboards, shelves or kitchen appliances and the ceiling is completely dry. I used a torch to see whether it had trickled there from somewhere else but the edges are clear and there's a meniscus all the way round as if somebody had tipped it off a spoon. Mr F hasn't been downstairs at all today so I can't blame it on him.

Baffled.

A piece of ice would do that
