Charli and Kesha share creative marketing management I believe. AG Cook produced most of this album too.

I'm not SURE about the ARTWORK. but perched to hear the song.

She's getting there before Ed Sheeran and naming her album after another punctuation symbol - "period" or "." :eyes: (was Sorb onto something with his thread last week?)

Released on the first anniversary of Joyride it seems, but that's probably just a coincidence

retitling Gag Order as Eat the Acid is insane though. it had the perfect title considering her situation then, the new artwork is also ugly as shit... these popstars must be stopped.

You know I knew something felt wrong but I didn't even clock she'd renamed the whole album. Bizarre... Maybe negative connotations with "gag" and SA?
 
Non-explanation explanation:

A couple days before the album's second anniversary, the artwork was changed to have a pink and purple filter, as well as the album's title being updated to Eat the Acid on streaming platforms. In a statement on Kesha's social media, she mentions how Rick Rubin let her be vulnerable and created a safe space for her during a hard time for her. She states the album's title was originally Eat the Acid, but at the time she didn't "see the light yet"

I'm not fussed about the album title change - although I do agree revising old albums etc is annoying - but the album cover was much better without the filter.

it's a shame the Boy Crazy video did not drop WITH the song because wow that's HOT.
 
The new album is OUT.

and it's a CHAOTIC MESS (in a good way), it's very midtempo (surprisingly) and not a bad effort at all.

There's no Joyride soundalikes; perhaps Red Flag might be the most obvious one. Check out Freedom and The One for some old-school Dr. Luke-ey Kesha, if you fancy that, but the real GEM of the album is Too Hard; picture Marina meets HAIM, kind of. She's never sung in this way before (New timbre alert???) and will surely win over people who usually hate her stuff.
 
BOY CRAZY is emerging as one of her best songs of the post-$ era. a total slapper. love the new elements in the Jade remix.
