"I can't marry you Annalise, I want to become a PRIEST" remains a legendary soap moment. I can't believe it's over 30 years ago.
 
I'll always remember Annalise's gold-digging mum as the woman who finished Jim Robinson!
 
Bring back her mum! And Rosemary and Helen Daniels from beyond the grave to reenact that incredible scene.

I have also enjoyed Darcy's comeback. They've gone a bit more full throttle in the way you suspect they wanted to in his original stint; we're now doing MURDER rather than arguing over GP surgery shares.
 
I still miss Helen Daniels. It doesn't feel the same seeing the Rodwells in the Robinson house.
 
So hints for the final storyline are coming through and although no Kylie or Bright Breezy Relistenable Imbruglia, it seems there are some returns

Shane Ramsey, Sam Kratz, and Annalise apparantly back as some TRIFECTA OF EVIL trying to bulldoze Ramsey Street
 
Just watched the final episode.

It was ok, but I loved the Home & Away reference - Annalise mentioned a “not dissimilar” community about an hour outside Sydney. She said “They’ve found a way to keep going” or something 🥹
 
Which is still UNJUST given how terrible Home And Away is these days

I won't say I'm sorry Neighbours got the extra 2 years, because obviously fabulous for the cast and crew.

But I do enjoy how much it FUCKED the feel-good of the original finale. The net outcome of the Amazon era was essentially;

- Jane and Mike split
- HOT HOT HOT Rodwells split
- Toadie and Melanie split
- Toadie villainised and leaving the street IN SHAME
- David DEAD

I guess we got a few more lesbians out of it though

If I was a long standing OG fan, I would just pretend the last two years never happened.
 
The Jane and Mike story was played so beautifully in that (previous) last episode.

Did she feature much in the finale?
 
I imagine for about 95% of people who watched the finale, the Amazon years never did happen.

I'd like to watch the David death episode, though.

Not as significantly. Her last pairing was with a new-ish guest character, so the writers seemed to know not to even try to compete with the OG finale this time.

The final scenes were instead focused on Karl, Susan and Paul.
 
It's 40 years last month since Kylie first appeared on Neighbours.

(That's Minogue, not Flinker!)
 
I binged a lot of 80s Neighbours during lockdown, as some Australian account was uploading them to YouTube in 8-12 hour videos at a time, but VHS quality of course. I pretty much got up to Scott and Charlene’s wedding.

The U&Drama channel doing them all form the start again is incredible, but I think I ruined it for myself in 2020.
