And Just Like That... (Sex & The City revival) (1 Viewer)

And Just Like SHART

I'm really, really surprised we're even on a third season.

Just cancel this shit!

I feel like I'm still enjoying it just as much as ever. My top highlight of each episode so far

Ep.1: Carrie being unable to finger herself because the cat is watching (hasn't ever stopped ME)

Ep.2: the waitress quipping that she watches The Walking Dead but that doesn't make her a zombie (I beg to differ)

Ep.3: Harry pissing himself (:horny:) because his new trendy jeans are too much of a faff to get off

Does episode 4 come out today in the US? I am hoping its on the OLE FIRESTICK later

I’m currently failing to see the point of Lisa. She’s just a completely separate character with a different story arc at the moment. Did I miss any on screen interaction with Charlotte/Carrie/Miranda?

They haven't done Lisa justice this season so far, as one of the newbies she was much stronger previously. But she does have a good friendship/connected to Charlotte though.

"The woman glanced out of her (plane?) compartment, mystified".

Once I know the exact wording, I cannot wait to start saying this daily.

A very strange episode - LTW and Seema are in an entirely different show (and they're not even in that show together). Hardly any of the main characters have scenes together with only Miranda (often on the phone) and Seema sharing any screen time with Carrie. Charlotte and Carrie appear to have next to no relationship whilst the developing relationship between Charlotte and LTW has been largely put on the back burner. Such an odd series.

Kim must really get a kick out of how abysmal this show is. It only makes the memory of Samantha Jones (which, in my head, is pronounced in the way she would shamelessly introduce herself) all the more fabulous.

Wyatt is so bad, very 90s kids movie coded. Carrie should just call him out and stick with the lovely Homer.

Was it just one of those episodes where everyone’s schedules meant they couldn’t be together?

It was terrible. Things I don’t care about:

Editors
Seema going it alone
Charlotte not even having a storyline

I’ll take Miranda and the lovely Joy at the minute

Oh but God, the curmudgeon writer guy just happening to have oiled up pecs visible through the shirt with the top 3 buttons undone. Oh go on then - I wonder what might happen.

Highlights/lowlights/eyerolls

I assumed Carrie owned the whole house. She’s such an insufferable cunt. Are her feet permanently shaped like Barbie’s so she can’t wear flats? Then telling Miranda not to ask Seema for help finding a place.

Naked heavy metal machete guy / naked Miranda

Harry’s cancer

More Samantha texts

I am usually a bit of a Carrie appologist, but my god that last episode, what a inconsiderate neighbour she is :D And yes, telling Miranda don't ask for Seema's help for a lowly TWO BED apartment :D

I kept thinking Rupert Everett could have played the Neighbour

On the Every Outfit podcast they were seeing it as like “bitch you moved into a ground floor apartment in New York. You should expect and accept noise”

So them two are about as awful as Carrie is to me now

Oh that was a classique.

My favourite minor moment was the radiant beem of satisfaction Carrie exuded when she thought Charlotte was crying for her broken, somehow centuries-old window, however much it may have been intended as humour.

Carrie was extra OTT and cunty (quelle suprise) to poor old sex pest Aidan about that bloody window.

The scene where, despite being clearly serious about each other, she was absolutely okay with him sleeping with his ex, was truly bizarre.

Listening to Every Outfit without watching the episode and absolutely losing my mind at the fact Carrie’s house had a tenant in the ground floor that she didn’t know about and shares the garden she writes her gilded age novel in. She spent $12 million on the house and Seema didn’t think to tell her this? Is she the worst real estate agent in the world?

Does he pay Carrie rent? Is she so rich she didn’t notice the thousands of dollars being deposited in her account each month?

I started this season earlier tonight. I'll stick with it, but couldn't bear more than one episode.
