Context: A middle class couple claim to have lost everything due to a 'bad investment', the husband is diagnosed with a terminal illness, they wind up homeless and embark on a 630 mile walk along England's southern coastline. The husband's health miraculously improves, the wife writes an inspirational best-selling novel about it, which was recently adapted into a hit film starring Jason Isaacs and Gillian Anderson.
Except it has now emerged that it's all LIES, they had a whole other house in France the entire time, and they're a pair of CROOKS who ripped off virtually everybody they came into contact with.
