How have we not had a Suede song called Antidepressants already?
 
Both sound brilliant! Can’t wait for this. Autofiction was incredible, their best album
since DogManStar
 
I was thinking this was an old thread for a split second as the title sounded so familiar even though they’ve of course never released anything called this before.

Disintegrate is ticking a lot of the old Suede boxes but I like it.

Criminal Ways from the new album is on the Suede rarities CD free with Mojo this month. My early take is quite good but definite album track fare.
 
I'll need to try and nab that. There's some good rarities on there, although I have few of them already.
 
It has Manipulation, one of two tracks on Sci-Fi Lullabies 2 I didn't already have. Spending well over twenty quid for one new track is now feeling even less appealing.

Not like Suede to piss off their fanbase after they've just spent money on an album... :eyes:
 
The reviews have been glowing and the album is indeed excellent. Of the new songs I am especially liking the title track (a more punk delivery than anything on their 'punk' album), Sweet Kid (the brightest, poppiest moment here), June Rain and The Sound And The Summer...

The deluxe CD packaging is also a big improvement on Autofiction's 'tear me apart' approach. I don't think the bonus tracks are as good as for that album though.

^ Agree about the title track, I was definitely getting some Siouxsie & The Banshees vibes on that one on first listen. Overall the album sounds very good but of course will need some time with it.
 
Midweek number one, fingers crossed they hold off Carpenter. If Shed Seven can manage two number one albums in a year then Suede are owed one for their comeback era.
 
Oh well. Suede are on 12k to Sabrina's 6k... I'm assuming second week streams for Sabrina will eat into that gap quite quickly.
 
I bought the original deluxe but I think I’ll pass on this unless I see it going cheap sometime.
 
I don't think I will be buying on release either, I will wait and see how the price goes. It could easily have been a double disc. They really had a meeting of the minds when they landed at BMG.

Unfortunately not included is the Chinese bonus track Always Remember I Love You, also very good though it does sound familiar when it first kicks in.
