Bop or Flop - "2 Hearts"

It’s neither, but considering what that single at that time should have done, it can only be considered flop out of those two options.

(Repeats The One as first single narrative for the 300th time)
 
To be honest 2 Hearts shouldn't have been been a single let alone the first one.
I loved it at the time but let's face it it's a flop.
 
Bewildering that this flopped. But also maybe indicitive that her appeal was becoming 'niche' again (albeit a bit ol' niche carved out over 20 years [at the time] of hard graft)
 
An OK song but totally not a lead SINGAL. Hell, could actually be a B-side.
 
Whilst The One is majestic and my fave, I agree In My Arms is the lead single from the album, then I think Wow would have carried on the momentum with The One riding a bigger wave and getting a proper third single release. I know it did get some sort of video but it was a trickle of a push and an odd release.

All of these would have been bettah on the album
 
I like it on balance but it had no business being the lead or comeback single. It’s better than a few tracks on the album, but doesn’t belong at all. Would’ve been fine as a bside with In My Arms as the lead. I don’t care that it leaked

In My Arms or The One, but I was going with the realistic concept as In My Arms was obviously scuppered as the lead single because of that.

I also don’t think you should underestimate the power of the “I’m the one, love me, love me” lyric when you’ve just come back from cancer…

More or less, but Lose Control is a definite omission there. I’d have had it as the opener in that track list…
 
Ewww flop. That we got Call the Shots and Flux that same day, we could have had the hottest electro three-way. No instead we got this sub-Goldfrapp tosh, exclusively focused on making Kylie feel more credible.

Lose Control is the best outtake from that era for me. The leaked demo is rough but would’ve easily swapped Nudity or one of the weaker up tempos with it.

I’m not a fan of any of the ballads. All I See was Janet cosplay. Cosmic was boring and suffered from poor lyrics. No More Rain was ok.
 
It's a single #5 or at a stretch #4. The video really took it up a notch though. She should've gone in at #1 with all the good will she had for this comeback. The One was the obvious lead single.
 
It's not very good at all really.

I appreciate In My Arms was the best option, but something about the comeback being 'I'm The One, Love Me Love Me Love Me' is too delicious to resist.
 
As with everyone, fine as an album track, but clearly one of the other two would’ve been ideal lead singles.
 
could've been a fun curio as an album track but as a lead single a total disaster. stinks of label interference from some idiot at Parlo.

hasn't she implied over the years that she was for In My Arms and The One as the singles and was hurt that the latter was left to flop late in the campaign? or is that gay fanfic/my imagination?

She definitely said in a fairly recent interview that she felt The One was a missed opportunity and she wished it was a proper single or something like that there's a video somewhere
 
Did it Again is AMAZING and one of my all time faves. Definitely a lead single compared to SKOB, especially with that statement video too, but I love both.
 
SKOB just needs a good edit of the outro because it just drags on and on
 
I’ve kind of gone off SKOB but there was a time it was in my Kylie top ten. Breezy 90s brit bop. Did It Again was always a bit drab to me. And as a second single it’s not like it turned anything around anyway despite the slightly higher peak outside the top 10.
