I decided to put the KMO album on yesterday on my drive back from work (when the genius idea for this topic came up naturally) - anyway, I skipped most of it and decided there and then that it is actually her worst album.

I actually like the KMO album. I have a soft spot for Sexy Love, Feels So Good and Kiss Me Once. Into The Blue remains sublime too.
There is some shit on it though, but I really enjoyed the tour.

Again, its not a bad track as per say, but thought it would be much better with Pharrell, this would be a solid b-side, an OK album track, or even a fun little standalone single/background track for a soundtrack or programme scene.

like so many of these... not a bad song, just boring and lacking the Kylie essence. and an absurd second single although she wasn't spoiled for choice.

I don't think KMO is a bad album at all though, the middle and back third are quite strong

I actually quite like it, and I've been very vocal about my distaste for KMO, which I would definitely agree is her worst post-SAW album by a country mile. It's one of only three keepers from that album for me, the others being Les Sex and the title track.

Take All The Lovers out of the equation and I much prefer KMO to Aphrodite.

Each to their own of course, but I just don't understand that. It's so uninspired. Even she pretty much admitted it.

In retrospect, Minogue commented; "Maybe it didn't do as well because it wasn't good enough or it didn't deserve more, who knows?"

I think looking back at the Kylie moments that have most tested my fandom, I definitely enjoy her the least when it feels like she's trend chasing or doing watered down versions of things other artists have already done and better, and KMO really is very that to me. (As is my other Kylie bete noir 2 Hearts).

As I said in the other thread, I just find the sound of Aphrodite to be thin and cheap. I can see why KMO could be described as uninspired, but I don't actively dislike the sound of it.

The song is fine. Another BLOP, edging towards BOP.

The video however is not just bad for Kylie, but bad for culture.

I can almost see why Eddie once called her FRUMPY.

I quite like her look in the video actually. It's the best thing about it.

Also on a not entirely related note, I remain one of the TWO people who really likes Sexy Love.

I'm popping Feels So Good onto my driving playlist. Why? Because it feeeels soooo geeeeew'

Absolute bliss.

Feels so Good is a sultry gem, single worthy if you ask me but agree nothing else was going to be a hit past the lead. Shame the Enrique duet was such a non event too that could have at least got a bit of attention and airplay
