All Stars Season 10 - May 9th

Fine with Ginger winning, she was *shock horror* really consistently good at basically every aspect of what makes a great drag queen. How dare she!

Also quite nice to see an old school queen take it for once, and is that the first time a big girl was won a mainline US series? (Even if she had to inject away half her body weight to do it :basil:)
 
I thought this was the best Jorgeous has ever lip synced. She showed expression and the dancing fit the songs. I just think Ginger beat her in It's Raining Men.

Bosco's first lip sync was great but her second was poor poor poor.
 
The problem is at least partly that she's done Drag Race and we've seen her so many times, that she's got so good at it or used to it (and certainly us used to her) that it can't help feeling mechanical.

Presumably we'll get her next in All Winners 2. At the expense of an International winner who could benefit from the exposure more.
 
The repeated back handed compliment that she's 'good at drag race' that queens (Naomi, Denali) and fans have been throwing out is annoying too. She's a great drag queen point blank, and if I was going to show I'd much rather see someone who can interact with an audience on a microphone and tell jokes than Denali, as great a dancer as she might be.

I don't know if it's a cultural thing or not, but she falls in with most of the UK winners in that she'd clearly be a brilliant host and MC and fits the comedy/singing mould that I find a lot more appealing than a pretty queen who can flip and looks/dresses like a model.

I mean at the end of the day, if Ginger looked like Jorgeous they would hail her as the SUPREME.

Jorgeous could “punch the ghost” in a tea doily to My Heart Will Go On and the internet would proclaim there was never a better lipsync.

I'm not against Queens having a second or even third attempt at the show, but there needs to be a rule around how many appearances in a set time period. If the second winners season is the next all stars filmed, that would be 3 out of 5 consecutive All Stars for Ginger, it's just too much! There needs to be time for development, and to give other queen's more air time.

I also think we've seen everything from Ginger now. I don't begrudge her the crowning but surely even SHE is done with the format?!

Yeah Alaska has pretty openly said that due to their podcast with Willam they're considered persona non grata at WoW, so that'd be a big, if welcome, capitulation if they were invited back.
 
Or it might be that they've cleared their schedule. Alaska cancelled some big gigs last minute. And I feel her comments were that she hadn't been asked to do anything and she felt like she was on the blacklist, but would be open to working with them.

Yeah Violet would be surprising. I don't think she ever explicitly ruled it out but you can tell she doesn't want. But who knows.

Ginger was head and shoulders below everyone. She was also head and shoulders the winner. Boom boom. Zero contest though. Fantastic burlesque from Bosco, but completely dead behind the eyes thereafter. Marked improvement from Jorgeous with her first 2 lip syncs in terms of facial expression (and suddenly it occurred to me that these are still her early years and it's no surprise that she can't embody a song to the standard of a Darienne Lake or TKB etc), but by It's Raining Men it was back to the usual clinical, albeit accomplished, back-up dancer mode. Butthole is an interesting lip syncer, very well thought out choreo, but I just don't think she has any original jokes and an endless reel of other people's catchphrases is something she's actually way better than.

But screw all that, NPB-FAG was brought back to the world's attention.

A lot of RuGirls are piling on shit and I’m like damn you can’t even back one of your own “family” especially since Ginger is one of the least problematic Queens from the franchise
 
Non shock at Scarlet Envy being one of them. Tia seems to be calling her out on it which is nice.

Agree with Tia's win or not, she's at least always seemed like a lovely and intelligent person.
 
I mean Scarlet barely has enough TALANT to get far in a season and would never be crowned so she really needs to stuff it
