A Topic for Male Celebrities Rape/Sexual Assault Scandals

The Wallace/Turrode saga rolls on. The BBC are airing the latest series of Masterchef featuring them both and one of the contestants has been edited out as they want no part of it at all, calling it for it to be axed. I do wonder with the controversy not going away if they'll revoke the decision to air it?

Just bin it. No-one wants to watch it, juct chuck it and then take the safe route of a relaunch with Noel Fielding and David Jason.

I guess the issue is whether the rest of the contestants want it to air, because if it's one person objecting and the rest wanting it to go ahead, it feels quite unfair on them to scrap it. They've presumably put in a lot of time and energy and might have hoped for opportunities to come from it airing.

Various news sources seemed to muddy the story a bit, with some seeming like she asked to be edited out herself, some speaking as if the BBC had edited her out themselves. I imagine the truth is somewhere in the middle and there was somewhat of a mutual decision in there somewhere. It still doesn't look GREAT though.

The timeline seems to be that :

Banijay asked contestants what they thought
She was the only one that said to pull it
Banijay told her they were still going to air it, and asked if she wanted edited out or not
She ultimately chose to be edited out.

I don't see any better way of handling it tbh. She's an early out, I don't think it would be fair to give her veto over the broadcast

Which is entirely sensible and all the more annoying how the press seem to paint it as either "difficult woman puts her stake in the ground, gets edited out of show" or "evil broadcaster ERASE poor woman". But of course, boring middle-ground stories aren't interesting to read or get reactions online.

"Right, We need to edit the presenters out a bit"
"But now we have a gap!"
"Just find a nice neutral reaction of Gregg and copy and paste that in"
"this one okay?"

The only surprise is that they're actually pressing some charges. This is waaaaay overdue.

Probably a good job the new season was already the last, because otherwise someone's character was getting unceremoniously CHOMPED in episode one

I mean if you're blatant enough to have 40 sex workers delivered to your prominent hotel, it doesn't take much to imagine what the rotter was up to when he felt he was in privacy.

Do these assholes think they've done nothing wrong? I just don't get both the denial and/or excuses they give.

Will Smith is getting sued for sexual harassment on a male who toured with him.

Noel Clarke, I think. They've made him a bit chunky for some reason but that's AI for you.
