She's one of the luckiest bastards going. If her shonky books hadn't been turned into impressive films, she's probably be half-forgotten by now. Such as it is she has aggressively monetized their success with sweatshop pajamas and toys made by 10 year olds. Her delusion that she is some kind of literary colossus would be hilarious if she wasn't so dangerous.

Oh, I had no idea about that (although she says otherwise but it fits) I mean she’s already irredeemably awful but that adds an extra degree of awfulness to her. Unfortunately the Strike books and tv series both seem to be well received and successful. Of course only once it “leaked” she is the writer.

Also the whodunnit resolution of Lethal White was a complete rip-off of The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie.

Mind you Harry Potter just took all the best bits & tropes from earlier magic school books by Jill Murphy, Diana Wynne Jones & Ursula LeGuin (none of which she's ever mentioned despite her apparent WOMEN'S RIGHTS stance) so PAR FOR THE COURSE really.

To be fair, her thread on here literally has HOMOPHOBIC and RACIST in the title and is mostly people discussing how nuts she is.

Yes there are occasional breaks to say that '212' still slaps, but are we supposed to LIE? :(
 
I like one of her songs so it doesn’t kill me not to give her streaming numbers but it’s always going to be an issue when a bad person makes good art.

But some of moopy treat her as a problematic fave when she's on Kanye's level of depraved, unhinged and, frankly, dangerous. She's Katie Hopkins with a discography (and not a very big one at that)

Azealia is not fabulous

But I don't think she's as dangerous as Kanye, because unlike the latter I don't think anybody is even remotely influenced by Azealia's batshit rantings.
 
If mods are going to start punishing members for mentioning certain celebrities then I'd like a full list of banned names plz.
 
All that's left is Hazell Dean and Lee 'Scratch' Perry. Everyone else is cancelled.
