Still watching (I get distracted). Loving the return of the drama being side glares and whispers. Why am I so glad that gay son and former maid turned lady are bearding up? That's my season I excitement sorted.

And now the proposal. Awe. I was getting flashbacks to Madame Bovary (1949) and the not wanting the night to end romance on the dance floor.

What a THRILLING finale! I welled up SEVERAL TIMES and I’m so proud of our SILLY LITTLE GAY SHOW, and so excited for WASPFACED SERVANT GIRL and OSCAR to begin their WICKED ALLIANCE

My one criticism is that I don’t quite buy Mr Russell’s disillusionment with Bertha, especially when Gladys’ marriage was proven to be a success! The show never quite seems to be sure whether he’s a ruthless soulless capitalist (HE IS) or the entrepreneur with a HEART (he has none)

It would make sense that Mr Russell doesn’t come from that world so doesn’t share their values, but I think that needs to be fleshed out a bit.

Also hoping with Peggy’s marriage we get more of black high society and their history.
