Anyway this was always a singles album for me but when the singles run is THAT good... I’ve heard the album in full since but i always feel I should try a bit harder because I love the Mac. Growing up when these singles were out I have a closer association with this than Rumours, but I think I understand why Rumours is the benchmark.

both seminal albums though.

Once again thinking about the fact poor Stevie was too zonked out on Klonopin to turn up to the studio, so Lindsey just pitched his vocals up on 'When I See You Again' and hoped nobody would notice.

So streaming the deluxe of this today and why oh why wasn't Down Endless Street on the album? It's great!

You know on certain days
Like today
Tango In The Night is my favourite Fleetwood Mac album

Not Rumours and not even Tusk.
And what about it!

Also, the chart :david: of me loves the hit-flop-hit-flop-hit-flop trajectory of the six singles, with the biggest hit being the 5th (Surely Everywhere could've been a #1 if released earlier in the album's shelf life?)

Big Love: #9
Seven Wonders: #56
Little Lies: #5
Family Man: #54
Everywhere: #4
Isn't It Midnight: #60
Ten+ year bump for this iconic post. Hit/flop/hit/flop is just so 'chef's kiss', and can't think of anyone else who has ever done that?

Also I would've thought (hoped) 'Seven Wonders' would have had a streaming bump thanks to AHS to allow a top 40 re-shart but clearly not.

(Semi) OT - but who else is going to bite for the Buckingham/Nicks vinyl?

Paula Abdul's UK career probably comes the closest to hit/flop/hit/flop

And that reminds me, I haven't listened to VIBEOLOGY in ages :disco:

But that's nonsense considering "Dirty Diana" AND "Smooth Criminal" both went top ten after it (and "Leave Me Alone" for that matter, but you could argue that was cause it was only on the CD and vinyl buyers didn't have it...)

How do you REMEMBER THESE THINGS?

We were TEN!

There was like 0 reason to buy Man In The Mirror if you had the album (NOT THAT I DID) plus it was HORRIBLE

I'm with the REYNOLDS GIRLS on FLEETWOOD MAC but you HAD TO BE THERE

1. I was obsessed with music and charts from 1984
2 Reading chart books over and over again on the loo
3. Probably autism

It’s the same with athletics. I can tell you every single athlete that competed in the 1992 Olympics women’s sprints, their times across all heats, places etc- couldn’t name the medalists of last year. The internet and accessibility of information has a lot to answer for!

Oh the JOY of getting a new Guinness Book of British Hit Singles (or Albums - didn't they alternate each year?) for Christmas. The hundreds of hours I'd get out of those each year until the pages started falling out :disco:

I mean I'm like that about most of the 90s - proper rain man. But remembering the 80s in that detail... impressive.

And no dear that's AGE! :D

The recording of the album sounds like torture - how the fuck it all manages to sound so effortless I do not know. Little Lies remains staggering.

Ugh - how do you get from lalala i like glitter vests to THAT on here?
