"Crystal Lake" (Friday the 13th prequel series)

Being produced by A24 for Peacock, starring the wonderful Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees. Late 2026 release I believe. Couldn't find any official promo visuals, but I know we have many horror stans.

Is this a 'universe' anyone's interested in watching as a TV series?

The franchise is in litigation hell, so nobody can use the title “Friday the 13th” or the character of Jason and Crystal Lake, all in the same film

Apparently it’s just the film rights that are a mess and the tv show won’t be affected @jivafox

I believe there was also another F13 show from a couple of years ago that flopped or something? And longtime fans of the franchise have been wanting a film for ages. The whole thing seems very messy.
