AVOID THIS THREAD AS IT WILL PROBABLY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Apparently the album cover photoshoot took place yesterday in London.

Rumours from a reliable PopJustice source indicate that the album is '99% done', but that it will probably not be released in November as was the original plan, but more likely early 2026.

In the meantime I'm listening to Confessions On A Dance Floor and my pelvic floor just fell out due to the :disco:-tastic transition from Forbidden Love to Jump.

Oh I DO hope so 🪩

Apparently she’s going to some gala in New York tonight so that might be an indication of the new hair

Memories !!!

Take all of these exclusive rumours with a pinch of salt - only posting them here to come back and quote them to see what proves to be right or wrong:

- First single is the 'true heir to Hung Up' and has already been chosen. First song she wrote with Stuart for the project.
- The album is not balls to the wall dance like the original COADF was but more of a musical journey
- Original album release date was meant to be November to mark 20th anniversary but COADF but may not be feasible at this stage
- Produced by Stuart Price, Madonna and... ?
- Bedtime Stories - The Untold Chapter EP still happening but has been pushed back
- No imminent plans to release the Celebration Tour on DVD or streaming

This makes me concerned that only one song was ever particularly COADF, and it's been jumped on to build hype.

And that 'musical journey' is a euphemism for stylistically all over the place and lacking any cohesion.

We'll see :D

I think that with Stuart Price at the helm this is less likely but you never know...

My theory is this:
COADF drew inspiration from the '70s. This new album will draw inspiration/samples from the '90s.
So it won't be disco inspired. Probably more house.

TBH I'd much rather an evolution of COADF than a complete replica of it. Even if it resembles 10% of it I think it'll still be wonderful.

I disagree with this theory- because Celebration was very #justice4erotica and I think she’d play on that more than COADF if it was 90s…

Hmm - true but I base my theory on some evidence.. everytime she had posted reels/stories/TikToks of her and Stuart working on the new album it appeared to be soundtracked to '90s house classics...

Then again there is a rumour that there may be a CHIC sample on COADF2 so who knows...

Don’t tease me like that. I just got a little bit wet.

I think lolly is right and that COADF is likely used as muse inspiration and only a couple or few songs will have a through line to the first album musically.

But let’s be honest, as much as the first album was cohesive, it also wasn’t all a 70s disco tribute. There was ABBA and Moroder sure, but there was also a lot of Daft Punk and Pet Shop Boys.

The 90s house inspiration always makes me nervous because I’m too much of a purist and it’s always a disappointment. I remember the excitement about Beyoncé’s Act 1 being 90s house and there was barely a shred of it on the final album. In fact the closest she came was when she did the Madonna Vogue remix of the single.

I shall wait with UNBAITED BREATH

I’d take Inner City though. In fact thinking about it, an 80s house album would be EVEN BETTER :disco:

She didn't go to the NY event in the end. Pictured in London last night with roots done & eyebrows bleached. Pretty much supports the rumours that she did the album shoot. I wonder if she skipped on the NY even t as well to finish off the album.

It's happening soon gang!!! :disco:

We might all be getting GIDDY at 90s and Inner City and Vengaboy references

But has she actually confirmed it will be RETRO dance?

Could we not just get a lot of tired and predictable EDM tracks that Roman Kemp will declare a "banger" on Capital Radio? Could Joel Corry or Nathan Dawe be the mysterious third producer? Could there be a Becky Hill feature? Could Ella Henderson threaten everything?

I'm fine with Stuart Price. It's the 'and... ?' which is unsettling. Do we know that he hasn't done the whole thing or is that speculation?

Also the hair and the bleached eyebrows are giving me Erotica era vibes which further consolidates my '90s throwback theory

The whole 'third producer'/collaborator is a rumour at the moment and I'm hoping that it proves to be false.
Remember, though, that she was writing with Max Martin last year...

I would very much like you to pick up your things and quietly head to the exit. Please don’t make a scene. Thank you for your co-operation.

Good news that its now announced and confirmed, Soley by Madonna, and Rolling Stone Magazine. Is COADF part 2 the working title or do we think it will actually be called this? I would quite like her to toy with it, something like 'More Confessions' .. you get my drift.

As great as she's looking I don't like her face in this photoshoot, can do better
