The fate of Friday

Morning all. Storm's a-brewing up here. But it's Bandcamp Friday and my inbox is bulging already.
 
Morning loves!

Been to the gym, starting the day in a coffee shop and debating whether I can actually be arsed going into the office or whether I just want to have a day’s fannying about.

Friday's fate has been sealed I fear, that evil aspiring showgirl has ruined everything.

I'm going to take my mac to a coffee shop and pretend to look for jobs while performing an aural cleanse

BTW, if anyone is on O2 for their mobile contract, I’d recommend switching. I’ve never been with them and never will be, but my friend’s brother has just been hit with a bill for £86,000 and they are refusing to admit that it is wrong!

I'm embracing a 4 day week of sorts today, doing some light work from the sofa after popping out with ms ron to meet a mate for coffee.

Obviously to do with roaming charges, but it’s utter rubbish. He owns a web development company so he’s not an idiot and is very tech savvy. He purchased an eSIM for a holiday and did everything right, only it wasn’t properly activated (again not his fault) and he was unknowingly using O2’s data.

He got charged £1,000 for the first day alone and they never once notified him that these charges were clocking up at such a huge rate. They’re saying he opted out of some kind of communication preference, which isn’t accurate either as he got a text message before leaving to say he had opted out, only to get one 5 minutes later to say that was sent in error.

Luckily my friend (his brother) worked for the Financial Ombudsman for years and now works in financial compliance for banks, so he knows how to handle it. But they really aren’t budging so the next step after exhausting legal avenues is going to the media.

Not quite the same but I was in a similar situation with 3 and I had to go to the Ombudsman which put the fear of God into them..
 
I've got a courtesy car from the garage that's doing my accident repair. It's a Citroen C3, lovely car, but reverse in this car is where 6th gear is on my car so I'm having to consciously think "don't put the car in 6th" anytime I'm going over 50 mph. It's also got a reversing camera which makes me jump every time it comes on.

Can't wait to get Lickle Red back.

They gave me one of those big estate cars once as a courtesy car and whilst it was nice to be so 'high' on the roads above all the plebs I could never manoeuvre properly into spaces and I was always paranoid of hitting kerbs and other cars.

There's a by-election in my council ward.

EVERY SINGLE DAY for about the last TEN DAYS we've had endless literature through the letterbox. At least two or three a day.

I think there's all sorts of different animals & I also get a 30% discount, so I'll let you know when I start if you wanted to bring your niece in.

Of course there's the added bonus of saying I met Funky & gave him a stuffing :ken: :disco:
