Love this, a Eurovision DIAMOND but I know there are some weirdo fans against it and I'm not sure why? Is it just because it's a ballid? When I watched the 1983 contest it was an obvious winner. So what's the GAG? @VoR please answer fast

It's fabulous, and I think only gets hated on because it beat both Hi and Främling, which both had a much longer shelf life.

On its own terms, it's right up there with the Francophone imperial era's greatest hits for me. And of course I love that it was win number FIVE for Luxembourg!

Discovered during lockdown, I like this so much. In fact, I love the whole year! The friends I went with on our first holiday after lockdown were genuinely confused by hearing me play this multiple times a day. By the end everyone was begrudgingly singing along

Absolutely dire, and then the fact that it beat Israel, Sweden and Belgium that year makes it even worse. The contest was not ready to modernise, and the result is such a forgettable winner.

Shouldn't have won, but really doesn't get the credit it ought. What a topic for the lyric, and what a DRAMATIC TRACK. The power ballad had only been invented six months before! It was quite ON TREND!

Nice ballad, definitely Corinne sang the hell out of it live.

Apparently it was also submitted to the French National Final but the broadcaster didn't even pick it to compete in the selection and some of the higher-ups were fuming after the contest win over that.

This was the first winner I remember watching at the time and not liking very much, although I don't think I had particularly strong feelings about any of the other entries either.

I don't hate it, but it's vastly inferior to most of the French language ballads which preceded it. Not overly keen on her voice, either.
