Would not prefer us to send coffee?Morning. No coffee in. Send help

Coffee = helpWould not prefer us to send coffee?
When I was in London a few weeks back someone from reception came to serve us a the hotel bar.I've just had to explain how coffee works to a colleague who has literally no idea. I guess I didn't until I (recently) started drinking it.
This is also the person who looked at me astonished when I asked him to turn the record over on the office record player, though![]()

He didnt know what a wine glass was, or how to pour a pint.
He then went on to tell me how hed never consumed caffeine, alcohol, tobacco or sugar.
Shouldn't be allowed to work in the trade then

May I recommend the Taylor Swift forum.Nearly 2 hours on the phone to British Gas trying to once again obtain a refund on my mum's account after the house was sold months ago.
I'm about ready to COMMIT MURDER![]()

Haha yeah I'd love the bants of laughing at parents who couldn't afford gas bills but still had kids to feed and keep warm hahaha haha hahahaahaHey I worked for them. They're great. It's some customers who are idiots.
Was great when they rang at 4.30 saying they'd no gas and couldn't cook kids tea. Had been cut off as they hadn't paid. "but we weren't in. How could you get in?" Erm, a court warrant, locksmith, our guy and a police officer. Went out on a couple to observe. Met the cops there. They gave us two for a day a week to enforce court warrants. Couldn't cut off if they had ay kids under 5 though. They could pay then.
Well should have paid their bill or rang us to arrange to pay in instalments rather than just ignore it. As I said, no-one with kids under 5 was disconnected.Haha yeah I'd love the bants of laughing at parents who couldn't afford gas bills but still had kids to feed and keep warm hahaha haha hahahaaha

In this instance, they've owed a refund of nearly £500 to me for 3 months, which continually hadn't been raised, then got sent to the wrong address, now still hasn't arrived after another 2 week wait & today I had to patiently explain to someone that it was the company that owed ME the money, not the other way round. And why are they still sending out cheques in this day & age anyway. I doubt a customer owing nearly £500 would be tolerated with constant excuses.Hey I worked for them. They're great. CANT THINK WHYWas great when they rang at 4.30 saying they'd no gas and couldn't cook kids tea.
I thought you hadn't worked since you were 16? Or does the story vary depending on the forum?Hey I worked for them. They're great. It's some customers who are idiots.
18. I worked 2 years, well 22 months, from 16-18 at Emgas in Sheffield.I thought you hadn't worked since you were 16? Or does the story vary depending on the forum?
I agree with you in your case.In this instance, they've owed a refund of nearly £500 to me for 3 months, which continually hadn't been raised, then got sent to the wrong address, now still hasn't arrived after another 2 week wait & today I had to patiently explain to someone that it was the company that owed ME the money, not the other way round. The reason they owe so much back is 1) because my mum kept the account super up to date & 2) I paid them an amount on an estimated bill as I was in the middle of a bereavement & having to organise the funeral single handed. So I refute that this is an instance of the company being great & the customer being idiotic.
