And when she does, she only highlights fashion-related things like wardrobe, stuff she wore on videos and during the tour, but it makes sense, I mean, it's not like she was gonna talk about Damon Dash or OPEN YOUR EYES because she's not profiting from any of that. This is just a PR exercise doc to reinforce that she's VICTORIA BECKHAM FASHUN DESIGNER and nothing else; it's hardly There's Something About Geri, but we all knew when it was Netflix who produced this, so of course she was gonna come across well adjusted.

Update: WE’RE NOT WATCHING.

Although there are photos and clips from 1995–1996 including her now-infamous Mein Herr Spice Girls audition, which we’ve all seen countless times, she never really delves into the musical side of her life. This is surprising, considering how deeply involved she was in music for nearly a decade before finding a new outlet where she felt freer and less judged and less desperate than in the music industry. Throughout the documentary, she repeatedly emphasizes, “I just wanted to fit in,” which could easily serve as its tagline.
It’s beautifully shot, I'll give her that and it's so carefully curated to present her as grounded and a “nice” boss in the workplace, yet beneath that, it reveals an insecure woman who’s always sought acceptance.
Perhaps it’s overthinking, but I found it odd that none of the other Spice Girls appeared, not even for a brief soundbite, especially since Melanie C featured in David’s documentary. It subtly shows her need to maintain control over every aspect of her narrative.

Also, very few moments of her dry sense of humour™

I think Spice Girls fans seem to have been expecting a lot more about that part of her life, but it's a documentary about her life and business now. most people are less interested in Victoria Beckham the spice girl than Spice Girls fans. and of course the documentary is curated! it serves a purpose which is to position/cement her brand as the head of a fashion business that's on the rise. I don't think there's a need for the other girls to be talking heads. who cares what Emma Bunton has to say?

The idea was clearly to make a documentary that touches on her fashion business having been disorganised and haemorrhaging money until she turned it all around, but it culminates in a very disorganised, horrendously expensive and very damp fashion show, which doesn't fill you with confidence. But it's a bit of fluffy propaganda for the fashion brand so it skirts around this.

I kinda liked some of her past collections, depending on the Artistic Director of the moment, but she’s never been taken that seriously as a Designer because the collections seem to vary in style and quality. She has a great personality but it never felt like she has a unique point of view in Fashion. I know people who loved working for her though, she does sound like a nice boss
